Great Putter.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used for a few rounds and I feel really confident over the ball already. Wish I was able to put in an alignment dot. I have been waiting a very long time for a left handed model of this style putter with no insert.

Revisited An Old Love.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I previously had an OG 8802 many years ago and somehow lost contact and switched to another putter. Decided I would make the change back to the new 8802 and am in love again. Played four times now. As I remember, balance, feel, and visual appearance over this one is .. perfection. Grip was fine but I did switch to an oversized grip, just preference.

Unbelievable

There is so much unbelievable feedback in this putter. When you hit the sweetspot you cant even feel the ball touch the club. I cant say enough good about this putter.

Nice Putter

Great Upgrade

I have older 8802’s that have been in my bag for the better part of 20 years. This newer version has been a nice upgrade in feel, and, thankfully not finished in chrome so I don’t get a camera flash if the sun hits it at a certain angle. Good buy!

Im sorry but the majority of the LEGENDS of golf did not use these ridiculous new batch of alien-shaped putters. They new how to putt... and they used putters like this (or this actual model)... Im a purist yes, and this putter ticks every box... butter feel, great action/roll, and it leaves it up to you to putt it into the hole without ridiculous looking putters and other mental trickery that the 'new' putters offer.

Rust After Less Than 30 Days

I had the putter for 30 days, and after 5 rounds of golf, the whole back of the putter began to rust. When I tried to get a replacement, they denied my request and labeled it as misuse. Disgusted with Wilson. I'll never buy anything from this website.

Love The Simplicity And Feedback!

I was getting too fixated on the line on my mallet putter and also had a really hard time with distance control with the soft insert. This putter solves both those problems. Distance control is so much better and I don’t have “paralysis by analysis” with the line in the putter

Please Add Optional Head Weights

I absolutely love the look of this putter but the head is too light for me. I also play a shorter putter length. Add some weights and you have yourself and absolute winner. Lead tape on that flange is blinding in the sun. Please please please🙏

Lived Up To The Hype…and Then Some

I had my eyes on the 8802 for well over a year. I long considered it to be (and still do) the best looking putter on the market. Many nights saw me adding to the cart, to then talk myself into staying with the putter I was playing. Kept my eyes open at various pro shops and golf stores to test it out, but never came across one. Finally, took a leap of faith, and clicked checkout. I knew it was a beauty from the pictures, but hadn’t seen or felt one physically. Upon arrival, I could not have been more impressed with the look and feel. I was timid with it not having an alignment aid, but got over that in about 3 holes. There was a slight learning curve with blindly switching to this model, but with minor adjustments, confidence came quickly. Especially for shorter putts. Maybe it’s the simplicity or elegance of the design, but short putts feel declutterred and less intimidating. I see myself owning and showing off this classic for life
