Solid Wedge.

Solid feel and great spin. Stock shaft surprisingly controls ball flight, easy to put a smooth swing on it. Based on 48 degree gap wedge.

Mg5 Feels Better Than Vokey

Vokey player since SM8's, and tried the SM11's earlier this year. Titliest always puts out a consistent product. With that said, I had the opportunity to test the MG5 and I was very pleasantly surprised by the improved feel and spin vs the Vokeys. The forged construction of MG5 definitely does feel different, and gives the sensation of more spin coming off the face on short chips. I also really like the stock DG shafts that come with the MG5 and prefer the slightly lighter weight vs SM11's. I prefer it enough to make a switch to MG5 for the bottom end of my bag. Highly recommended!

I have never had this much confidence around the greens. The irons have also rusted along the face nicely, reducing the bright glare.

Mg5 60 Degree

Ordered another MG5 wedge 60 degree loft sx11 and could not be happier. TaylorMade club builders do a great job of setting the club up just as I ordered it. They also installed a different grip that keeps my set uniform.

Best Wedges Ever

As an 8-handicap, I recently overhauled my short game setup with the TaylorMade MG5 wedges (50°, 56°, and 60°), custom-built with MMT Regular shafts, and the on-course performance has been phenomenal. The biggest upgrade here is the feel. The MG5 is TaylorMade's first fully forged wedge. Because it is crafted from ultrasoft carbon steel, the feedback at impact is remarkably pure and responsive. You get a buttery sensation that makes dialing in distance from 100 yards and in feel incredibly intuitive. Then there is the spin control, which is where this wedge truly separates itself. TaylorMade engineered the MG5 with an all-new aggressive saw-milled groove pattern featuring steeper walls and sharper radii for maximum friction. They paired this with a raw face and Spin Tread Technology, which channels away moisture in wet conditions the same way a tire tread grips the road. Mg5 56 Degree Wedge Review.

The TaylorMade MG5 wedge has been an excellent addition to my bag. The feel is outstanding—soft and responsive around the greens while still providing plenty of feedback on full and partial shots. One of my favorite features is the ability to order the MG5 with the same shaft I play in my irons. Having that consistency in weight and feel throughout the set makes the transition from my irons into my wedges feel seamless. I also really like the raw face. At address, it gives the wedge a clean, confidence-inspiring look without unnecessary glare or distraction. Overall, the MG5 combines excellent feel, a great look at address, and the ability to match my iron setup. It has quickly become a wedge I feel very comfortable with from a variety of distances and lies.
