Ogio Misses On This Bag

8/2025 Ogio Silence Stand Bag Review I have been an Ogio golf bag customer for years and probably before Callaway Golf acquired them. I have had 6 Ogio/Callaway golf bags so I hope Ogio/Callaway listens to this review. Ogio has always had great bags, great features, and cool graphics. They took a beating and were very thought out from a golfer’s perspective. The “Wood” area of the silence top sucks plain and simple. I carry a driver, 3 wood, and hybrid and it is too crowded with the head covers on! I took out my 4 iron so I could gain some room in the iron side too! I bought this bag for the “silencer” feature because I am getting new forged clubs and thought it would help protect them better from “club clatter.” I also thought all else being equal I did not have to worry about other bag features, but I was wrong. I have only gotten a few rounds in with it, and I already know if it lasts a full golf season next year I will be surprised. Pros: Few Silencer top seems to work as advertised, buy not sure how long it will last or how it will impact my midsize grips Stand function is great and the stand legs seem to be set farther apart to help from becoming “crossed” and impeding their functionality after prolonged use. Bottom stand trigger seems to fit better on cart, and so far, it stands flat without tipping forward on its own. Cons: Many Cheap low quality everything, and I mean everything. Pockets are not very big or functional and top valuable pocket barley holds car keys with fobs much less with a wallet in there too. Cooler pocket is small and almost useless especially if you want 2 Gatorades. Shoulder straps are narrow and thin. Hip/Back pad is small, narrow, and thin too…my old Ogio Wood top was very comfortable carry! Carry handle is a narrow, thin, and short piece of material over a plastic stick The top carry handle is thin and tapered to a knife edge and not comfortable to carry without a towel wrapped around it. The lift/grab handle assist under the ball pocket can only be used by the very tips of your fingers. The top umbrella elastic loop and bottom insert loop are basically useless. The bottom loop is almost smaller than the tip of my golf umbrella The rain hood makes no sense and almost too small to be functional, but to be fair my last Callaway Cart Bag had the same rain hood issues too. Zippers & pulls are small and zippers are not very smooth when you use them. I expect one or more failures of these soon.

Great Bag, Long-time Ogio Fan, Design Flaw...

Bought the bag 2 weeks ago, HUGE Ogio fan! The bag has two design flaws. First and easiest to fix, because it's a hybrid bag, make the carry straps have a buckle or quick disconnect attachment. Second, the putter slot should have like a plastic tube or liner the entire width and length of the chamber. This will prevent people like me that have SuperStroke grips from hitting the grip on the inside of the top divider...which becomes very annoying! Overall I've had OGIO bags for many many years and love them, this bag is great just needs to easy adjustments.

Golf Bag

The bag is very sturdy and the silencer feature makes a difference with keep your clubs from bouncing around

Terrible Stand Legs

Bought the bag a year ago and the stand legs are already completely broken. The legs started sagging after a few months. The bag itself is great but the legs are absolute trash. Do not buy until they fix the legs.

Almost Great

The individual locking club slots are great. Definitely the best bag I’ve had for keeping clubs in place and organized. 2 flaws, the rain cover is backwards. They did not include a cart strap on the front. The Velcro straps intended to secure the bag do not fit American golf carts. Ogio, you designed the best bag to hold clubs but didn’t think about securing it to a cart. Come on, it’s a cart bag. Just wrapping the cart strap around the front does not keep it secure on a bumpy course
