The Ai-DUAL Square 2 Square #7 is designed for golfers who want a modern mallet with a center-shafted, toe-up design that promotes a perfectly square face throughout the stroke. This “Zero Torque” configuration eliminates the twisting common in traditional putters, making it ideal for players who struggle with face rotation and want a more stable, repeatable motion. The built-in forward press and reverse taper grip create a natural setup, while the Ai-DUAL insert and FRD Groove deliver consistent speed and superior roll.

The Ai-DUAL Square 2 Square Jailbird offers the same zero-torque benefits as the #7 but in the iconic Jailbird mallet shape, providing a larger footprint for added forgiveness and alignment confidence. Its center-shafted design and toe-up balance make it perfect for golfers who want to simplify their stroke and keep the face square from start to finish. Combined with the Ai-DUAL insert and FRD Groove, this putter delivers exceptional feel and roll consistency for players seeking stability and accuracy.

The Ai-DUAL Square 2 Square Max ½ Ball is built for golfers who want maximum alignment help in a zero-torque design. Featuring Odyssey’s ½ Ball alignment technology, this model frames the ball perfectly for improved aim and centered strikes. Its center-shafted, toe-up design promotes a square face throughout the stroke, while the Ai-DUAL insert and FRD Groove ensure consistent speed and roll. Ideal for players who value alignment precision and a simplified stroke.

Odyssey’s new line of Ai-DUAL Square 2 Square putters feature their latest and greatest Ai-DUAL insert and a modern center shafted design that makes them balance with the toe up and puts them in the “Zero Torque” putter category.

Ai-DUAL Insert

  • Designed using Artificial Intelligence, this dual-layer urethane insert has a soft outer layer and a firm inner layer delivering not only consistent ball speed across the face, but also enhanced forward roll up and down the face and amazing feel

New FRD Groove

  • This new Forward Roll Design Groove is deeper and more aggressive. With a 19° slope it works in conjunction with the dual layer design to improve forward roll up and down the face

Modern Center Shafted Design

  • This design centers the shaft just underneath the CG plane of the putter. This results in putters that rest with the toe up, opposite of a traditional putter with toe hang. This design promotes a square face throughout the stroke.

Built in Forward Press

  • 2° of forward shaft lean presets the hands in a forward press position eliminating the opening of the face that often happens when golfer forward press on their own.

New Reverse Taper Grip

  • This grip is designed to offset the 2° of shaft lean that these putters come with and get the leading edge of the grip parallel to the leading edge of the putter providing a more comfortable set up.

Black SL 120 Shaft

  • The standard length models come with Odyssey's SL 120 shaft, developed based on Tour player feedback, it is heavier and stiffer than the SL 90 and ideally suited for this style of putter.

After 4 Rounds, Some Thoughts

I am still not sure how i feel about this putter yet..... I have a white hot #7 from 2007 that i still like has been back in my bag this spring. Saw the reviews of this one on mygolfspy and i jumped on the zero torque bandwagon. This new putter is a #7 but the size of the head is probably 50% larger than my old faithful and i am not sure i like that. I have a ping scottsdale "pickemup" center shafted and that is in my bags rotation too and i generally like the center shafted putters. I forward press as part of my routine just as i start my stroke, This new one puts you in a forward press by default so my routine results in too much of a press and i am not sure i want change the routine as the press is my trigger to start the stroke. The look of this is awesome, i like the forward putter face. The feel soft, almost lush and i like that too but it is forcing my brain to recalibrate stroke force for distance. So... so many pros and cons and a lot of dinero invested in this putter, so i will stick with it the rest of July and then i will be happy or have to make an expensive decision to move on from the new putter. I thought well, i love my old #7 and this would be an easy upgrade so i foolishly bought it online without hands checking it out. Live and learn. Definately go hit this putter before you buy it ( duh!). Below it asks how often i play... it maxes at 20+. I play 100+
