Add range to your game with the Approach® Z30 laser range finder. It provides distance to the pin and the PlaysLike Distance feature from up to 400 yards away with 6X magnification. When paired with your compatible Garmin device, you’ll also get distance to the front and back of the green relative to the pin. Disappointed

Very cheap to the feel. Field of view very small compared to Bushnell. You have to rerange each distance to get front middle back readings for the watch to pick it up would have thought once flag is acquired the watch would be able to calculate flag from there. Will try a few more rounds to wotk out bugs. But so far would rather use my bushnell.

Shoot Once, & Watch Has It Wherever You Go!

This is a really useful tool. I had a rangefinder that did almost everything the Z30 does, including plays-like distance (really important to me since my home course has about 1000 feet of elevation change). But the Z30 is even better because you can shoot the pin once on a hole and it will send the right distance (and plays-like distance) to my watch wherever I go the rest of the hole without reshooting it. It also places the flag correctly located on the green so my watch can show me that. This saves a lot of time and effort of continuing to shoot the distance for every shot. Great tool!

Great Addition To My Bag

I replaced my Z30 this week. It is very accurate and helpful with my golf game. I enjoy the added benefit of connecting to my Garmin watch to provide information on my wrist. I look forward to improvements in the Golf app software to improve accuracy in capturing strokes and also in added analytical capabilities.

Amazing Rangefinder When Paired With Garmin S70

I use the Z30 Rangefinder along with the S70 Golf Smartwatch. When shooting the pin the rangefinder will update with not only the lasered distance to the pin, but also the number of yards the pin is off of the front and back of the green. Extremely helpful when playing courses that don't give you pin sheets or hole locations.

Pairs Nicely With Watch!

Great rangefinder with new options. You can change the brightness level in the device, and it syncs up quickly with my Garmin S44 watch. Only thing I would comment on is sometimes the GPS maps don’t align with the course by a couple yards. So you will shoot a front pin, but the rangefinder will show that the pin is at the front edge of the green when it’s actually a couple steps into the green. Maybe some minor gps calibration on the map side will help.

I've had a few range finders and this is a great device especially when paired with the Garmin S70 watch. I like that there's a battery and not charged by USB.

I Love The Z30 Linked To My Approach S70 Watch

The Z30, when linked to the Approach S70 watch, is outstanding. I use the range finder to get the distance to the pin and then I can see on my watch where the flag is located on the green. As I approach the green, the distance to the pin updates so that I can know the distance even without using the range finder again. The display in the Z30 also shows the number of yards from the front edge to the pin and the number of yards from the pin to the back edge of the green. Great product.

Great For Any Garmin User

Most reviews said this was slow to grab the pin but great for a Garmin guy who had a Garmin watch. Spot on except I feel it grabs the pin quicker than any range finder I’ve ever had. The automatic connection between this unit and the watch is quicker than it takes to look at the watch and the front and back distances stay in the finder long enough to get back to the eye after looking at the watch. No buyers remorse here.
