Do Not Buy This Thing…

This whole thing was the biggest pain! The sensor tag that go in the grip of the club broke SO MANY TIMES. Just from mov in around in the bag, they would break and leave the threaded post to fall down into the shaft of my clubs and rattle around, having to replace so many grips to get this out. Shot Scope, on had sent me three full replacement sets of these tags because it happened so many times. Literally the worst quality of plastic that they would break like this so so so easily. Also the watch was terrible at transferring proper scores and shots to the phone after a round correctly. Literally the whole marketing campaign around this about how supposed to be easy and seem-less is so so so far from the experience I had. $200 down the drain + more money in grips and install to remove all the broken plastic bits from the shaft from rattling around.

Absolutely Painful User Experience

It's rare I find a product with such a bad UX that it seems like they went out of their way to frustrate their users. The auto tracking often misses chips which can only be corrected post round by manually adding them to the map for every hole with a discrepancy. It doesn't matter that you adjusted your score on the course, the auto score is the official score, not your manual score. So unless you add random shots to the map (who remembers all chip locations), then your score is inaccurate and lower than it should be. Absolute insanity they require such a painful corrective process to address tracking issues (I'm not complaining about the missed tracking, soft chips are hard to detect - it's the correction that's the issue).

Screen Not Bright Enough

I bought and returned this item. The features aren't great and the screen is so dim it is hard to view in most settings.

Upgrade From The V3

I was very happy with my Shot Scope V3 but after a few years I thought it might be nice to upgrade. If you have an older Shot Scope it's a very smooth transition in the app and the extra features and better graphics are well worth the move! I'm very happy with my new V5!

Horrible Charging Connection

Have not been able to use the watch because the charging connection is so difficult to use. Any slight movement causes the connection to come loose.
