Odyssey Ai-DUAL Square 2 Square Max 1/2 Ball Putter

About This Item

The Ai-DUAL Square 2 Square Max ½ Ball Putter is built for golfers who want ultimate stability and ultimate clarity at address. The oversized MAX footprint pairs perfectly with Odyssey’s ½ Ball alignment system to frame the ball and guide your aim with precision. Its center-shafted, toe-up design eliminates torque for a stroke that stays effortlessly square, while the Ai-DUAL insert delivers incredible feel, speed control, and forward roll. It’s a modern, confidence-inspiring mallet that makes your setup—and your stroke—exceptionally repeatable.

Odyssey’s new line of Ai-DUAL Square 2 Square putters feature their latest and greatest Ai-DUAL insert and a modern center shafted design that makes them balance with the toe up and puts them in the “Zero Torque” putter category.

Ai-DUAL Insert

  • Designed using Artificial Intelligence, this dual-layer urethane insert has a soft outer layer and a firm inner layer delivering not only consistent ball speed across the face, but also enhanced forward roll up and down the face and amazing feel

New FRD Groove

  • This new Forward Roll Design Groove is deeper and more aggressive. With a 19° slope it works in conjunction with the dual layer design to improve forward roll up and down the face

Modern Center Shafted Design

  • This design centers the shaft just underneath the CG plane of the putter. This results in putters that rest with the toe up, opposite of a traditional putter with toe hang. This design promotes a square face throughout the stroke.

Built in Forward Press

  • 2° of forward shaft lean presets the hands in a forward press position eliminating the opening of the face that often happens when golfer forward press on their own.

Cruiser and Broomstick Options

  • The MAX models are available in Cruiser and Broomstick configurations that come with: heavier heads, longer shafts and longer grips suited to each of these putting styles.

½ Ball Alignment Options

  • The MAX models offer Odyssey’s next revolutionary alignment technology, the ½ Ball design frames the ball helping to center your impacts and improve your aim.

Meh...

Too light, and no adjustment weights for this model.

Must Try Putter, Huge Improvements

I expect this putter to be in the bag a long time. I enjoyed the previous max stripe model of this putter, but this is an improvement in every way. Love the new grip, blacked out stroke lab 120 shaft, and 1/2 ball alignment. Putter is so easy to align with the combination of the head shape and 1/2 ball alignment makes this putter aim naturally at your target without second guessing. The 1/2 ball alignment makes lining up to and striking the center of the putter face much easier as well. The square 2 square design does not fight against my putting stroke which makes it easy to consistently start the ball on the intended line. The Ai dual insert is soft but provides good audible feedback. All these things combined make this putter perform extremely well, and my confidence is only growing with each round. Biggest surprise new club this year in my opinion. I’m tempted to pick up a backup, and possibly the cruiser and broomstick version just to have em all, it’s that good.

Save Strokes!!

Purchased this club a month ago and have played 5 rounds. Have easily knocked off 5-7 putts a round. Easy to align the shot with the half ball alignment. My put stroke is very linear and this club works amazing for me. The ball rolls great directly from impact and strength feels consistent. Stable in the hand with the offset grip. Love the look and performance so far.

Df3 Max

Bought them a week ago. Already played 4 rounds. 1st round out i probably shaved 6 stroke off my score due to putting alone. 2x 20ft. Multiple 10 ft putts. Only 1 3 putt from the fringe. I had been eyeing the lab DF3 for the last year. I tried this and knew I had to have it. Similar to DF3 with a thicker grip. Softer face and better roll. Only thing DF3 has going for it over this is more style and an awesome ball pick up tool.

Go For It!

Had been gaming the AI S2S Max Stipe putter and really liked it, but I could never quite get comfortable with the grip. The S2S design and built-in forward press definitely aren’t for everyone, but that setup has always felt natural to me. When the new Ai Dual 1/2 Ball version came out, I had to give it a try. I absolutely love the look of this putter. The black shaft paired with the red-accented 1/2 Ball design gives it a really clean, modern appearance. I wasn’t sure about the reverse taper grip at first—it felt a little bulky—but it quickly grew on me and now feels great in my hands. The added grip offset is a nice bonus as well. The new insert also has a better feel to it. If you’re considering a zero-torque option or something like the LAB DF 3. The Ai Dual Square 2 Square Max 1/2 Ball is definitely one worth trying
