Near Perfect Golf Watch
Been using the Approach S70 for a few weeks now, and I can't really find anything to complain about. The satellites acquire signal very quickly, transitioning through the functions of each hole/round is pretty easy once you get used to it, and the battery life is phenomenal. The Tempo trainer is nice and helps to focus on steady swings. Being able to utilize other training functions like treadmill running and swimming is really why I bought it. It's a more all-around watch for me now that I have picked up golf again and moved on from Triathlons.

Needs More User Friendly Instructions Or Directio!
Almost 3 months - much too complicated and can’t get settings such as watch face, iPhone sync with activities etc. GPS golf course distances excellent. Maybe best to restore factory settings??

The Best Watch Ever!
So I finally got a chance to play a round of golf With my S70, All I can say is wow in conjunction with the C 10 sensors it kept score perfectly. Not really sure I need a rangefinder anymore as every time I double check the distances on the watch versus the rangefinder they were darn near exactly the same. The stats and data feedback after playing around the golf for excellent and useful. I’m not gonna lie. I still have a lot more to learn as there’s so many options but between the Golf information and all of the health tracking benefits, this is by far the best watch I’ve ever owned.

Very Good, Coulld Be Better
I bought this to replace my S-62, which died. Generally it is better, the display is bright and easy to see. The display settings are a bit of work to get right so the display is on when you need it without a lot of finnicking, but I got it set up right now. I found the standard watch faces are pretty garish, so I need to download something a bit more conventional.. I tried the green slope function, but it doesn't work on my courses, so I will cancel my subscription.

A Great Watch But...........
The Garmin S-70 watch is a great piece of technology for golf and fitness tracking. Unfortunately the Garmin S-70 watch does not stand alone. It requires the Garmin app to communicate with in regards to accurately tracking shots, keeping score, and providing this information back to you in a useable manner. Sadly the Garmin app does not live up to expectations. I have found the app to contain bugs that should have been fixed when the watch was released in 2023. There is no manual or online help provided by Garmin. Learning how to operate the watch requires you watch numerous paid product reviews on U-tube to learn how the watch functions. At no time do these paid reviewers discuss the limitations of the Garmin app. Hopefully some software updates for the Garmin app are in the works because at best, I have a wrist held GPS that shows me an illustration of the hole with various yardages. Not what I bargained for when I bought the watch.
