Bad Battery

I bought unit last year. the unit will not keep a charge this year. Customer support suggested I do a software update which i did. Unit will still not charge. I regret buying unit. I would not reccomend it.

Good Basic Gps Golf Watch

This replaces my old, original Garmin GPS golf watch. I used the first one so much, the band broke. So for my second one, I wanted simple, just yardage to front, middle, back distance to green. This watch works exactly like my first one. Easy to use. I charge using a wall outlet adapter.

Great Watch!

I purchased this watch a little over 3years ago. It's seen many rounds of golf and many charges. I have never had any problems. I also use the scorecard every time out then transfer it to my computer.

4 Years And Still Ticking

I bought my S2 four years ago and it still works great. I've used it in Europe, Africa and Asia and have not found a course that it can not cover. Over time it does not hold a charge as long. In the beginning it lasted for 36+ holes but now runs out of juice near 18 holes. I've had to buy a new band and a couple chargers because they wore out. (I wear it every day as my watch so I'm used to it on my wrist during a round) Keeps great time and date. If you don't use if for golf the charge lasts for days... I might get a new one so I can use if for 36 a day again. I suggested that my friend buy one today.

Did Not Last

Bought this March 2016. It is now May 2017. only used for golf, not everyday, will no longer find satellites. Solution from Garmin was to trade in for new one (read Upgrade) and little value for the old one. This is not manufactured anymore which is why they are cheap. I am buying a different brand most likely Bushnell.

Very Accurate

This is my second season with this watch and it's very accurate the one course I play the scorecards gotta be off cuz my watch says a different yardage that on the scorecard so when I stopped at a 150 marker or 100 marker the watch is accurate so it has to be the yardage from Tee Box the hole on some holes haven't had any problems with the watch I'm very pleased with it

Took it back because of poor battery life. Too expensive for that reason.

Charging Is A Problem

I received this for Christmas and it worked well for the first 3-4 months. Since that time charging has been a problem. If it actually holds a charge, it will last for one round rather than two. Most of the time it shows "low battery" as soon as I turn it on after a charge. I just use my laser instead. I should have taken it back, but it was a Christmas present.

Stopped Working

Was fine when it worked but yesterday it stopped being recognized by my Macbook Pro when I went to update courses. All the courses are now gone from the Garmin and it is basically useless now. No previous indication that there was an issue before this. NOT impressed and will NOT be buying another Garmin.... tech support from Garmin was no help either.

Only used one day on two courses bu tlike the measurement to green function. Still trying to figure out how to keep battery charged.

Manufacturers Replacement Stopped Working Also

Got this as a christmas gift last year. Worked great for a month. All of a sudden it would no longer load courses. Followed the step by step guide to reset watch, and still did not work. Garmin sent me a replacement, which was a refurbished watch with a short warranty. Replacement stopped working also, and unit reset did not help. In order to get a replacement, I have to pay $70. I'd rather stick that money into a new item, and it won't be a Garmin product sad to say. Friend has a Garmin watch also that stopped working after 2yrs also. I'm shopping for a new one now, and thought I'd a review on the S2. Take it for what you will.
