Callaway Quantum Max Fairway Wood

About This Item

What Our Experts Are Saying:

"The new Quantum Max fairway wood from Callaway has changed my woods game completely. I use my 3 wood and 7 wood a lot, whether it’s off the tee or into greens, those clubs feel like they are always in my hands. I’m able to launch the ball in a consistent window due to the Speed Wave 2.0, which moved 40 grams of weight low in the head and towards the face. The Step Sole Design has also been key to my success; I’m able to make cleaner contact with the ball without the sole interacting too much with the ground and I’ve experienced faster ball speeds than ever because of the Ai-Optimized face. I recommend the Quantum Max fairway woods to anyone that’s looking for a consistent ball flight from the mis-hits to center strikes. " - Brendan, Master Club Fitter at Golf Galaxy Columbia, Maryland

Quantum Max is designed for easy, high launch and built-in forgiveness, giving players more confidence on every swing. Its shallow face design enhances consistency, and its versatility makes it the ideal choice for a wide range of golfers.

Speed Wave 2.0

  • Positions up to 40g of weight low and forward for faster ball speeds and consistent launch. The new Speed Wave 2.0 design frees up even more face flex, boosting energy transfer — especially on low-face strikes.

New Step Sole Design

  • The new Step Sole Design reduces turf contact on the sole for efficient strikes and consistent centerface contact. A reshaped heel adds stability through impact, helping keep the face square for greater control and accuracy.

Next Generation Ai-Optimized Face Design

  • Consistent performance across the entire face, thanks to smarter face flex unlocked by Ai. Every part of the face is precisely tuned through advanced Ai modeling to optimize speed, spin, launch, and accuracy based on real fairway wood impact patterns.

Clean, Streamlined and Versatile Shape

  • Designed for players who want speed, optimal spin, and reliable consistency. With a neutral CG and confidence-inspiring look at address, it’s Callaway's most versatile fairway wood for a wide range of skill levels.

OptiFit4 Hosel Adjustability (3W-5W)

  • Features independent loft and lie adjustability, offering seven total configurations to fine-tune launch angle and shot shape—whether you’re looking for a higher trajectory, straighter ball flight, or a draw-biased setup.

Callaway Is An Outstanding Company, Makes Outstand

Alan is top shelf. He interviewed me, helped me make a decision on what was best for me. And the clubs I purchased are absolutely outstanding. I finally am learning how to use the Threewood.

So far so good. Hit this club super well at a demo day. I’ve just hit it at the range and on the simulator so far.

It Must Be The Club !

It must be the Club ! LOL! Same setup, same grip, same swing in to out for my draw ! But, I’m definitely swinging my new Quantum 5 Wood with a lot more consistent contact and control. I can’t say my old Paradigm 5 Wood was ever this forgiving ! Great decision I made to upgrade!

My Best Clubs

I originally purchased a 5 wood and have now added a 7 and 9 wood. Best clubs in my bag--so easy to hit high, far and soft.

Bad Wood

"I bought the new fairway wood version, and it's even worse than the previous model.

Strong Confident Footprint Setup/distance Shortfal

I have had the Quantum Max Fast 3 & 5 fairwoods, with regular 50-R shafts just over a month. I've played a handful of rounds with the both of them and have a good feel of the clubs. I'm an experienced golfer and have a steady 10 handicap and a swing speed of around 85. Both clubs have a large footprint with straight alignment at setup that provides strong confidence. They have a light feel and are comfortable and easy to swing that gets the ball airborne with consistent high ball flight. However, my experience has shown that both clubs fall 10-20 yards short on distance in comparison to my older 2010 Callaway Razrhawk 3 and 5 woods, both also have regular shafts. So, in summary; I love the looks, strong footprint and the reliable consistent ball flight of these clubs... this inspires confidence. But, I'm very disappointed in the distance shortfall these clubs provide. Hence, my 4 star, instead of 5 star rating. Longer distance was my primary motivation for purchasing these clubs.

Quantum Max Fairway Woods

I now have the 3, 5, and 9 wood after purchasing the mini spinner 7 wood. I have played Callaway for most of my life and these are by far the best woods I have had!
