Surprisingly, the handle is forged/molded into the tumbler. This makes it more durable than I was expecting. I have a 24oz for the car and now this large one for around the house and garage. Fewer trips to the ice maker! True to Yeti form - it keeps ice cold drinks frigid for many hours. The lid stays on every after it tumbles on the floor.
