Excellent, But Unlocking A Locked Fliptop Is Hard

Overall, I love the fliptop water bottle! It is good looking, sturdy, and keeps water cold. The fliptop operates with one hand, and the bottle fits a cup holder in my car. I have problems with the locking mechanism - when I lock the fliptop, UNlocking it is so difficult that it unscrews the entire cap. I also wish that you made larger volume bottles with fliptop that fit in car cupholders - just make them a bit taller! Thanks!

Hate The Lid

Hate the new lid. Hits you in the glasses or forehead when tipping it to get water. Tried moving it to the side and bottom. Replaced it with the old style lid which screws off. Love the bold purple color.

Chugging, A Pleasant Way To Drink.

I bought the Chug Yeti in September. I really appreciate the "chug" method instead of sucking (straw) or sipping. I checked 4 Stars because the opening and closing is difficult and confusing. I think it's stiff because as I was used it, the slides seem to work easier and are less difficult and thus less confusing. So I'm ordering another. It keeps my beverage colder than any other Yeti's and hasn't leaked. Hurrah.

Great bottle BUT…The slider on my lid keeps getting stuck and it won’t pop open when trying to unlock.

One Of The Best Yeti Ramblers That I Own!!

I was kind of leery to buy this particular Yeti, but I am so glad I did not listen to some of the other comments/reviews that talked about the “difficulty” about opening the flip up lid! I haven’t had any problems opening or closing the lid at all. It especially comes in handy in the car. I used to try and (very carefully) unscrew my 18oz. Chug Cap Rambler to try and drink while driving, but that (obviously) wasn’t very safe. Now, my thumb is all that is needed to slide the lid open and “poof” ICE COLD WATER is ready for me to drink! Especially Awesome if stopped in traffic or to get in those last extra water “requirements ;) “ for the day! I just LOVE the new cap!! It actually has moved to the top of my (nearly 12 of the 18 oz.) Rambler drinking bottle collection. And I LOVE the Riverhead Red color!! :)

Excellent For School And Sports Practice

I bought these bottles with the flip chug cap two months ago for my kids. They prefer this ones rather to the flip straw cap. No leaking. The lock is a great feature to have. They used them for school and also for playing sports. The liquid conserve the cold temperature for hours.

Design Flaw Or One Off Issue

I generally LOVE yeti products, I’m loving this royal purple too!. I’d been waiting for this flip chug cap (hate cleaning straws & don’t want mouth wrinkles!). I was shocked by some low start reviews on this product & so I read them. I must say there are definitely some issues with the lock ring getting stuck in the far left lock position. The lock ring can get stuck and won’t go back to center. I don’t really need it locked so it’s not too much of an issue for my day to day use. I’m torn between keep using it & hoping it doesn’t get worse (become more “sticky”) & reaching out for a new one. Idk if it’s a design flaw & it will happen to all of them or an assembly flaw in the one I happened to get.

Great New Product

I like it because if I need to drink some water, it doesn't take me long to chug it down. Also its is well insulated so its keeps things cold for a long time.

Who Approved This Lid?

This lid is terrible, not sure how they approved this. The rotating part is super light to open the lid, but if you lock it, it takes way to much force to unlock it. And to close it, you have to reach to the back, flip it up past the handle, and use another finger to grab it, and close it completely. Also, the spring lid does flick water when you open it, which is common for these spring lid designs. I didn't even use the bottle, I just tested the lid, and put in for a return. Side note, I ordered the Olive/King Crab color. It looks way nicer in the photos. In real life the orange and green are very unsaturated.

Lid Isn’t Straight Compared To Design

We were so looking forward to getting our new Yeti Rambler Water Bottles with personalizations, but I have to say that I am disappointed, maybe it’s just ocd on my part, but it really bugs me that the bottle tops are crooked compared to the designs.

Finally Solved The Problem Of The Original Chug Ca

I bought this recently after having some problems with getting an over-tightened chug cap base off my rambler bottle. The flip chug cap lid works well. I just wish I could have bought the lid only for my favorite cherry blossom colored yeti bottle (limited time color) instead of needing to buy a whole new bottle, because the flip chug caps in all colors were all sold out. It’s easy to get on and off. The locking mechanism can be removed for cleaning.
