Great Clubs But…

I am A 14 HC golfer who was playing PXG clubs for about 5 yrs. I had done a good bit of research online and with AI when I was ready to buy a new set. Time and again TaylorMade P790s came up as the leading product for my level with the right balance of performance and forgiveness. Overall I am pleased with my shot dispersion and accuracy with these clubs. I am using stiff flex 1 degree stronger loft and .5 degree adjustments to my lie angle. The only element that bothers me is that I have lost about 20 yds per club compared to the PXG set. Would love any feedback from the community on why that would be.

These irons are the GOAT! I’ve gamed them in the past and went to the 2023 P770s. I was overall happy with P770s but knew I was leaving distance & forgiveness in the table. Changing to a smoother shaft in the Modus3 105 has been a game changer!

I absolutely love my TaylorMade P•790 irons! They look incredible at address, feel great when you hit them, and give me the perfect combination of distance, forgiveness, and consistency. The ball comes off the face beautifully, and I’ve noticed a big improvement in both my confidence and my overall iron play. They have a clean, classic look but still have plenty of technology and forgiveness built in. If you’re looking for irons that look great and perform even better, I highly recommend the P•790s. I couldn’t be happier with them!

I love my new p-790 irons. I ordered 4-AW. The short irons feel great and consistent while the long irons really jump. I’ve gained 25 yds with my 4 iron with this upgrade.
