TaylorMade Milled Grind 5 Wedge

About This Item

FORGED FEEL

  • Incredible feel is a must for having a great wedge game. MG5 has been forged from soft carbon steel and designed with geometry to provide excellent feel with great feedback.

MAXIMUM SPIN

  • MG5 uses all-new, more aggressive grooves designed to maximize spin. Saw-milled grooves produce tighter tolerances allowing engineers to design steeper walls and sharper radii intended to maximize spin in both dry and damp conditions.

PERFORMANCE IN ALL CONDITIONS

  • RAW face with Spin Tread technology channels away moisture to help retain spin. The same way that tire treads help your car stay connected to the road, laseretched channels redirect water at impact and creates more friction between the club face and golf ball to maintain spin in wet conditions.

CRAFTSMANSHIP MEETS CONSISTENCY

  • Crafted by hand and then milled to perfection. Each wedge and sole grind are precision-milled to eliminate the natural human error that comes with hand polishing. Our grinds deliver unmatched consistency and craftsmanship that players can count on every time.

CHARCOAL FINISH

  • MG5 debuts a sleek, sophisticated charcoal finish that reduces glare and enhances its aesthetic appeal in the bag.

Bought This As An Experiment, Ended Up Loving It!

I purchased this wedge as a replacement for the matched PW in my P7CB set. I did this as an experiment to see the difference between a matched wedge to the set versus a matched wedge to my other wedges (MP4s). What I have found is that I really enjoy the versatility that this wedge gives me. I can still hit it the max distance that I hit my previous wedge but I can dial it back and control the flight much better. I appreciate the feel and confidence I get from seeing the same type of wedge as my other clubs. I think this will be the direction I go moving forward.

Good Wedge With Great Spin.

Awesome Wedge with great spin. The raw finish is amazing as well. Only problem was there trade in process is not great they will deny clubs so be careful

The new forged carbon steel provides excellent feedback on full shots and around the greens. I prefer the LB grind and play it in all condidtions.

Mg5 - Simply Impressed

I've always thought of myself as a Vokey guy, but I decided to put the MG5 in my bag and WOW, I love the feel I get from the MG5. The sound when striking the ball is an extra perk I wasn't expecting. Stopping power on the green is really impressive to what I've been used to in the past.

Improved Wedge

Traded in an old Callaway Mack Daddy that was a few years old. Happy with the new wedge as it provides better feel and spin.

Great Wedges

My favorite wedge - I've stuck with the MG series for the past 6 years - still the best.

Perfect

Best feeling wedge I’ve had to date. I was hesitant into switch to these from my Vokey SM9s but have absolutely zero regret.
