Using Only One Type Of Golf Ball

I am 68 years old and recently was fitted with TaylorMade 790 irons and I started using one type of golf ball only to help improve consistency (remove the variations incurred with hitting different balls) during my rounds. I decided on the Tour Response based on my typical club head speed and overall performance with regard to spin, accuracy. and distance. Since moving to the Tour Response only coupled with the new clubs, my average has dropped from a 87 to 82 and I actually shot a 79 and a 75.

Tour Response

I played my first round of 18 with the Tour Response and found that the balance of distance and spin fit my player profile perfectly. 85 mph driver swing speed needing enough spin to stop on the green. My new favorite!

Love these golf balls! I’m a Veteran and love the Stars and Stripes! I hope they do not get rid of the design. I play these because they have great feel for my game play and love the looks! I personally like the overall stripe design for the Tour Response ball, I don’t have to draw lines on them myself! Great for lining up puts and setting up on the tee box! Keep them coming and don’t get ride of the Stars and Stripes!

Loooong - With A Big Tradeoff

Very long off the tee. It's a great ball for a scramble. It doesn't spin much around the greens, which is manageable - but don't expect the same kind of stopping power as the higher tier.
