As a high-handicap golfer with a medium swing speed and a tendency to slice, I’ve been loyal to the Snell 2.0s for a while. They gave me decent control and value. But after hearing the buzz around the 2025 Q-Star UltiSpeed, I decided to give it a try. I was skeptical at first, but I’m glad I made the switch. Right away, I noticed how forgiving this ball is off the tee. It launched high, carried long, and most importantly stayed straight. Even on off-center hits, it held its line better than I expected. My slice was noticeably reduced, and I didn’t feel punished for every mishit. Around the greens, it had a surprisingly soft feel for a ball in this price range. Distance-wise, this thing keeps up with premium balls. I picked up a few extra yards compared to my Snells, especially with the driver and longer irons. The ball flight was consistent, and the feel off the face was crisp without being too firm. If you’re a mid-to-high handicapper looking for distance, forgiveness, and feel without paying Tour prices, this ball delivers. It’s officially earned a spot in my bag.
