Golfers in need of slice-correction technology fit best in the G440 SFT (Straight Flight) option, which features a two-position (Draw and Draw+), adjustable 23-gram back weight. Offered in 9° and 10.5° lofts.
The MAX HL and SFT HL models utilize lighter back weights, the PING Alta Quick shaft and a Lamkin UTx Lite grip to deliver more ball speed with extreme forgiveness. The shaft length is 46" to promote maximum distance. In testing, slower-swing-speed players gained on average nine yards with the HL build.
Free-Hosel Technology
- Weight removed from a section of the hosel is re-allocated to help push mass lower to create PING’s deepest center of gravity in a driver to date, aligning it closer to the force line for faster ball speed, optimal spin and higher launch for longer and straighter drives.
Hotter, Thinner Face
- A lower face height allowed PING to make the face both thinner and hotter for more ball speed and consistency across the clubface, including the high heel region.
CarbonFly Wrap Crown
- Common to all three models (MAX, LST, SFT), the CarbonFly Wrap crown saves weight, which is re-allocated to help lower the CG, ensure forgiveness and contribute to a more muted, pleasing sound at impact.
Trajectory Tuning 2.0 Adjustable Hosel
- The lightweight, 8-position hosel enables adjustments for loft (±1.5°) and lie (up to 3° flatter than std.) to further dial in ball flight for the best results.
