Dead Legs After Walking 9-holes
I’ve enjoyed wearing New Balance 997 running shoes for more than 15 years; I’m probably on my 10th pair over that time. So I thought the 997G model would prove just as comfortable and perform similarly overall. Sadly, I’ve been disappointed. The 997 golf shoes lack the spring and energy return of the 997 running shoes. My legs feel extraordinarily tired after walking just a 9-hole round. After fewer than five outings, I’m giving up on these golf shoes and moving on to something different.

Comfortable Feel
I got these for Christmas and just walked 18 holes with them. Footbed felt comfortable on my feet. No foot soreness following 18 holes. Plenty of cushion in the shoe. Plenty of grip for spikeless shoes.
