The JPX925 Hot Metal redefines the performance of an already industry-leading franchise. Combining the power and speed of Nickel Chromoly with a newly engineered CORTECH Design featuring a Contour Ellipse face, the consistency of distance across the entire impact zone has never been as long and predictable. The addition of tungsten weighting low in the head adds a height and landing angle element that makes hitting precise shots into greens easier than ever.

FEATURES

  • CORTECH Design featuring Contour Ellipse Face: A completely re-engineered multi-thickness face profile that pushes to the extremes, getting up to 30% thinner than the previous generation. The Contour Ellipse Face enhances center ball speed and ensures maximum speed retention throughout the impact zone.
  • Multi-Material Construction with Tungsten Weighting: Tungsten positioned low in the 4-7 irons creates a higher launch with a lower sweet spot, producing a steeper landing angle.
  • Chromoly 4140M: Allows for a high strength face with a bendable hosel for fitting, due to its high strength to weight ratio and malleability.
  • Seamless Cup Face: One-piece Cup Face geometry with thinned areas revolving 360 degrees around the perimeter, increasing rebound area for maximum ball speed across the entire face.
  • Variable Sole Thickness: Increase overall face flex area for added CORAREA.
  • Balanced Stability Frame: Balanced weighting improves control while maintaining forgiveness and producing a tour preferred vibration and sound.
  • Harmonic Impact Technology: Fine-tuned head geometry delivers ideal feel and feedback at impact.
  • Acoustic Sound Ribs: Precisely dialled in vibration patterns for a solid, explosive impact sound.
  • Chromoly 4140M: Allows for a high strength face with a bendable hosel for fitting, due to its high strength to weight ratio and malleability.
  • White Satin Brush Finish: A modern elegant, yet durable non-glare finish.

Jpx Good Irons-horrible Customer Service

Let me preface this review by saying that I consult in the customer service (CX) industry, so I understand that mistakes and misunderstandings happen. An associate and I apparently misread the Mizuno webpage, as I believed I was ordering JPX 5-GW irons using a Partner Program discount code. When the set arrived, it included 25- and 28-degree hybrids along with the 7-GW irons. I contacted Mizuno immediately and asked whether I could exchange the two hybrids for the corresponding 5- and 6-irons. Customer Service agreed to the exchange in writing and specifically told me I could play the irons while waiting for the exchange to be completed. Nothing happened. When I followed up, I learned that Mizuno had subsequently decided not to make the exchange, but no one had contacted me to let me know. After escalating the issue, a Customer Service supervisor agreed to make an exception and allow me to return the entire combo set for a refund, even though I had played the irons based on Mizuno's original instructions. The problem was that my 50% Partner Program code had already been used and could not be reissued. Returning the clubs and purchasing the correct set would therefore mean losing the 50% discount. I asked Mizuno for a simple solution: exchange the complete combo set for the comparable all-iron set while honoring my original Partner Program pricing. Over the next five weeks, I sent multiple follow-up emails, left a voicemail, wrote to senior Mizuno Golf management, and subsequently reached out to another member of the Golf organization asking only for help getting a final answer. I received no response to those requests. That's the most disappointing part of this experience. I was simply asking them to honor the Partner Program pricing from my original purchase while exchanging the clubs—an exchange their Customer Service representative had initially approved. The JPX irons themselves are very good clubs, and I like them enough that I am now purchasing the 5- and 6-irons separately through an authorized Mizuno distributor. My advice based on this experience: Mizuno makes very good golf clubs, but I would purchase them through a reputable authorized dealer rather than buying directly from Mizuno. If an issue arises, having a dealer available to help with an exchange or service problem can be extremely valuable.

Didn't Think I Was A Mizuno Guy

I went through a fitting to find the right irons and out of all the ones I tried, this is the only one I hit consistent. Even my bad shots (that weren't completely hopeless) went pretty straight and would have been playable. Definitely get a fitting and if you don't want to, definitely try the Mizunos anyway!

Mizuno Jpx 925 Hot Metal

Although I’ve only been able to swing them for one round of golf the results have made me extremely excited for the 2026 golf season. I still consider myself a beginner to the game as I have only been playing for a little over 2 years now. These clubs are perfect for my level of play. Super happy with my choice to go with Mizuno!

Feel Great And Looks Great

I’m an 8-12 handicap…I upgraded from the Ping G410 after 6 years. Loved the pings and went to GG to get the new pings until I hit the mizunos. They looked great at address and are very forgiving. Distance is a few yards farther but the accuracy and forgiveness was the game changer for me. Would absolutely recommend the JPX925 hot metal irons.

Tungsten Is Golf Magic

Moved from Callaway Mavrik irons to Mizuno 923 HM PRO irons. Mizuno PRO short irons are the best but I needed the HM 925 tungsten inserts on mid irons (7,6, and5) for better ball compression. Blended iron set works great. Thinking about replacing the hybrid with HM 925 4 iron.
