Don't Buy These Irons
Bought a custom set (7-AW) of this club a month ago. What a mistake. I originally wanted to get a custom set of Tommy Armour 745s but unfortunately Dick's no longer sells them custom made. I really liked the set of Tommy Armours I bought 4 yrs ago and wanted to replace them. Went with the Maxfli XC2 Irons since I could get them custom made. I am a 7-9 handicap and hit the ball fairly well on a consistent basis. My problem with the Maxfli irons is as follows: 1. There is little to no feel when you hit the ball. The ball come off the club with a "thud" feeling regardless of where you hit it on the club face. I cannot tell if I have hit the ball well or not. Toe and heel hits feel the same as shots from the center of the club face. I can only tell I have mishit the ball by the fact it came up 10 yards short. 2. Despite the reviews saying the clubs provide extra distance, there was no difference in distance from my old Tommy Armour 745s. I strongly recommend that you avoid these clubs and get something else which provides feedback on your hits.

Wow.. Amazing. Just Give Them A Shot And See
Just played my first round with the Maxfli XC2 irons, and I’m seriously impressed. They feel incredibly solid at impact and I love the look at address. Cant believe how forgiving they are as well! So happy I got fit at Golf Galaxy and went with them!
