Perfect For My Away Wardrobe
I bought this because I have the bigger hard shell carryon and the handle broke. This model was on sale. About a lb or so heavier but I like the top lid approach rather than the clam shell which can be awkward in limited space to open. I have many Away pieces since their warranty service is so good. They sent the handle replacement which was easy peasey to replace and it arrived as soon as I returned from my trip. Another feature that I find helpful is the small pocket at the top of the bag. It’s perfect for passport and boarding pass to have handy going through checkin passport control and boarding.

Great Warranty
Bought my bag in 2021 which I use for business and leisure travel all the time. Started having a problem with the retractable handle a few months ago so contacted the company. Along as I had my original receipt (which I did) they promptly replied and I had a brand new replacement bag in less than 4 days. Amazing!

Great Suitcase, Bad Handle Placement On Bottom.
I really like the size of the suitcase, how easily it rolls, and how much it can carry. I'm still working on how best to use the large divider to optimize packing. The only down-side so far is that the handle on the bottom is VERY inconvenient. To lift the suitcase into a flat position for packing/unpacking (or for using without unpacking), one has to reach to the very far end of the bottom of the suitcase to reach the bottom handle. Most similar suitcases I have used have the bottom handle in the center of the bottom, which is far more convenient. The placement is very difficult and awkward. I'm not sure I would have bought this suitcase if I had known. It's a lot more difficult to lift.

Major Improvement
This was actually a replacement for my original bag from several years ago. They sent a brand new bag and I feel there has been major improvements even as much as I loved my first one. It is now one large area rather than two smaller sides. Having to use two sides meant utilizing a luggage rack never worked since it was necessary to have the luggage always open. The front pocket for your laptop is almost hidden making it a sleeker look.
