As others noted, this hoodie is effectively a long-sleeve shirt with a hood, maintaining the feel of a cotton t-shirt and the fit of a rashguard. Because this shirt is meant to be worn loose (and I have a skinnier body type), I ordered a size down in hopes of getting a slimmer fit, without the dreaded pit pinching. I usually wear medium, and bought a small, and it ended up working out perfectly.
I love that the shirt is polyester free. While mostly cotton, the modal and (small amount of) spandex mixed in give the shirt a slightly more athletic feel without the fear of significant odor-trapping. The material is also UPF-rated, which is a neat addition.
I was curious if the shirt would shrink and wrinkle after the first wash (the latter of which other reviewers noted). At least for me, washing the shirt in tap cold water and air drying it inside out maintained the shirt's size without noticeable wrinkling.
The only con is the price. I got this shirt on clearance, and there's no way it's worth the full price value listed on Dick's!
