Good Start, Weak Shafts

I bought this Top Flite golf club set because I thought it was time to take my game (and life) to the next level. Little did I know, these clubs would help me lose more than just golf balls—starting with my wife. First round out, I was feeling good. The irons felt okay, maybe a little like swinging a wet broom, but whatever. Then came the driver. Oh, the driver. Took one mighty swing on the first tee, heard a crack that sounded like my marriage, and boom—shaft snapped cleaner than my bank account post-divorce. To make things worse, my playing partner (my now ex-wife’s divorce lawyer, ironically) pointed out that the driver was "probably made from recycled soda cans." He laughed. I cried. My slice somehow got worse. Pros: Bag has zippers. That’s… nice? You can still use the irons to angrily dig holes in your backyard at 2 a.m. The smell of failure is included for free. Cons: Driver shaft is made of uncooked spaghetti. Wedges are about as accurate as a weather app. My wife left me. (Unrelated? Maybe. But the timing was suspicious.) Final verdict: These clubs are a great way to distract yourself from emotional trauma, just not in a productive or enjoyable way. Would I recommend them? Only to someone I owe money to.

Great Beginner Set

I am a very unserious, very bad novice golfer and these are the perfect set to get started with. They're reasonably priced and the only thing you need to get out on the course are some tees and balls. They're comfortable to grip and once you figure out how to actually hit the ball, they send them well.
