I walked into Dick's planning to buy a brand-name putter—specifically the Ping TYNE 4—and started hitting a few balls. After a few minutes and failed attempts, a man with long, curly hair appeared out of nowhere. He looked like Garrick Ollivander, the wand maker, who sold Harry Potter his wand. He saw me miss a few putts, handed me a different putter, and simply said, “Try this one" and then mysteriously vanished.
The putter felt good. It felt right. Within seconds I was draining putts like Steve Curry. I requested a nearby shopper to blindfold me and tie my hands behind my back and was still able to drain every putt.
