Awesome Companion

I bought my 3L Sidekick in preparation for our visit to Volcano National Park in Hilo, Hawaii, planning to do some serious hiking. Volcano National Park has very temperamental weather. One minute it's nice and warm, the next minute you are getting rained on, so the Sidekick was the perfect bag to have on hand to keep everything important nice and dry. I also got my wife a 3L in Desert Bloom; she loves it. Awesome product.

I have the 1L one as well and both are so nice for their respective coolers to keep snacks/bars away from the ice.

Waterproof!

These are the best bags to keep your gear dry and easily access. I throw my camera gear and any electronics in them while out on the lake, river etc. I have added the strap as well to both my 1l and 3l sidekicks this make them versatile on family road trips to use as a catch all for kids gear and my own.

Not As I Expected

Just not happy with it as I was with the yeti products ended up giving both bags to some kids down the street from us for them to use for fishing

Perfect Add On

I wanted to added expansion packs to my M20 cooler for cold snacks and sandwiches so my drinks no longer compete with its space. Works well and air tight!

Basically The Rolex Of Tiny Gear Organizers

I bought the YETI 3L Gear Case thinking it would hold all my random adventure junk, and honestly it’s built like a tiny tank. This thing feels ready to survive a hurricane, a fishing trip, and my truck floor all in the same day. The waterproofing is legit, and it somehow makes me feel more organized than I actually am. My only gripe? I wish the interior mesh pocket had a little more stretch. It’s like YETI designed it for people who pack responsibly, which unfortunately is not me. Once you start adding cables, batteries, snacks, and “just in case” items, it gets tight fast. Still, it’s an awesome little case and definitely feels premium. Basically the Rolex of tiny gear organizers — just with slightly less room for my chaos.

Could Use Some Tweaks

Let me start off by saying I really do like this item. But I think there might need to be a couple tweaks to it. Starting of with the big one for me is the Velcro. I feel like the Velcro could be a lot stronger than what it is. I don’t have my sidekick overly packed but for some reason the Velcro gives me a hard time sticking at times. Which brings me to my next point of flexibility. It would be nice if the bag was a little more flexible to contour around the shapes placed in the side kick. Having lack of flexibility I believe has also been a reason of why the Velcro doesn’t always stick well. Otherwise it’s very durable and a great addition to my hopper flip 8.
