This forged distance iron, designed to meet the performance demands of better golfers and consistency demands of aspirational golfers, features low-density SpeedFoam cavity filler to maximize COR and generate groundbreaking distance. A high-strength 4140 carbon steel face combines with mini-ICT and cut-thru Speed Pocket technologies to lock in distance and control on impacts across the face.

15 Years Later...

Last year, i bought P790 irons. My game had finally gotten to the point that i could use a smaller, better feeling, forged player's iron. BY FAR, these have been the best hing to happen to my game. If you're in the market for an set in this price range, buy them. They will not disappoint.

The Best Irons Ever

I had Taylormade 300 for 10 years then went Taylormade MC 2011 for 8 years then i bought the worse club ever made the Ping i500 and now bought the P790 these are so nice I love everything about them I can honestly say I am sorry I left Taylormade for that year I am so glad i am back thank you so much for creating the best iron i have ever played Kenny 2020

Great Irons For All Handicaps

I have had my irons for about 6 months and wanted to hit them several times prior to writing this review. What I've found is an easy to hit iron combined with a sleek blade look; however, the only reason I did not rate them 5 stars is the workability factor. They can be somewhat difficult to work (draw or fade on command). They are super soft with an explosive reaction and about 1.5 clubs longer than the typical blade (stronger lie combined with more explosive face reaction). Once you get used to the new distances you will play with more confidence. I've taken my game from a 4 handicap to a 0.5 in 6 months. The only reason I rated 4 stars and not 5 is the "workability" factor; however, if you're looking for a straight ball flight these are definitely the club for you. I have the project X rifle 6.5 shaft (non-flighted) and love the weight distribution.

Irons Not Really New

Well as they were the 1st big iron purchase of new clubs ive made I was disappointed when they arrived having noticeably been demoed. U were out of stock, so I wasn't able to get a different set.

Too Hot For Me.

Beautiful irons. They feel great when you hit the screws, but if you’re not a good ball striker, you will be punished severely. When you hit the center of the face, the ball will carry an extra ten yards. Unfortunately, I’m an 11 handicap this year and can’t make them work for me. Last year I got my handicap down to a 6 using my old game improvement irons.
