790 Irons

I've had these irons for a couple years now so I feel like I can give a thorough review. The irons and the graphite shaft and grips all together are great package. it took a little bit to get used to the blades but now that I have them I really like them that can work the ball a lot better than I could with the heavier weighted irons. Quality was great. I feel like my lie is a little steeper than I would like but the fitter didnt want to push the lie any flatter at the time. I would definitely consider TaylorMade irons in my future. Thank you

Shaft Rusting

I bought these and have never left them outside in the rain or traveled with them in the rain. For that matter, I don't even play in the rain. That said, the shafts (all of them) have rust on them in places, not the heads, just the shafts. This is very unfortunate as I do love the clubs. I have contacted Golf Galaxy about this and they decline to do anything about this. I know pros use these and I see great reviews, so I am not sure why I have problems. I just finished scrubbing them a 0/0/0 brillo pad and brasso on the shafts and they still have rust. So dissapointed.

P790 Smooth

Received these clubs on my Birthday in May. Took me a while to get any ajusted to them. I love them. Very workable and just this past week-end eagled a par 4 from 148 yards into the wind. One bounce in the cup. Never have I hit a iron so pure. This clubs are dead on target. Looking forward to many more great rounds.

P790 Not For This Swing

Now before I get trolled for this hear me out. The clubs are amazing! Beautiful to look at and hit. Just not for me. Switched them out for the Stealth Blacked out and I am much happier. Even though I am a 11 handicap the P790 was just to inconsistent for me and I was not getting the distance I wanted. I don’t compress the ball I pick it clean it’s just my swing. If you hit down on the ball with you irons then by all means grab the P790’s but if your a clean picker like myself then stay away.
