I've played two rounds with this putter and absolutely love it so far. The ball pops off the face with a smooth roll and is super forgiving. I was previously using an Odyssey triple track double wide putter and the Phantom X7 is so so much better. I've always struggled with leaving a ton of putts short, but this putter gives you so much confidence and my tempo has been significantly better the past 2 rounds. Lastly, my Odyssey had a pretty wide Super stroke grip, but I actually prefer the Scotty pistol grip and find that I have a much more relaxed grip using it. I think this is due to the lack of pop I had from the Odyssey and I was always over swinging while strangling the grip.
The one negative thing I have to say about this putter outside of having to take out a second mortgage in order to pay for it, is that in the two rounds since I've had it, my driver has gone sideways. The golf gods giveth and taketh as they please and apparently you're not allowed to hit fairway bombs and drip in putts at the same time. The Scotty Phantom X7 lives up to the hype, but whether you like it or not, you will continue to snap hook and slice drives into the woods on every par 5. Keep that in mind before purchasing.
