Rated 4 out of 5 by CP_681 from Better than most I've had this bag for a few months and love the way the legs function. They open when they should and stay up when you walk. Other bags struggle with the legs staying folded against the bag while you have it on your shoulders. Not this one. The pockets are limited in number but hold everything just fine, even bulky cold-weather items you take off as it warms up. The weak points on the bag are related to the strapping system. With the ball and water bottle pocket low on the bag with the hoofer bottom, the bag hangs on you at nearly 45-degree angle. Adjusting the straps to compensate for the weight imbalance is impossible, but you can get close. If PING can figure this one out, they have the perfect, five-star carry bag.

Rated 2 out of 5 by DonK from Much ado about nothing I gave one star for the fact that Ping sent a new bag to replace my Series 4 bag which had a broken stave. One star for the basics of a carry bag and kept 3 stars for myself because this bag is a poor substitute for the Series 4. The bag is bottom heavy making it uncomfortable to carry and take on and off one’s shoulder; the pockets are awkward: one less pocket for the range finder;, valuables pocket is hard to access while walking; the hidden rain hood under the hip pad is gone; straps are narrow and ill-designed ( buckle assembly is placed where you have to grab the plastic when setting the bag down causing uncomfortable abrasions on one’s hand after a few holes); dividers are actually pretty good; no “D” ring for bag tags or towels, just a small cord. In all, this is a very disappointing step DOWN from last year’s Series 4. I’ll use it for a while, then junk it as soon as I can.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Good golfer from Ping hoofer lite Great bag. Straps are better than previous version. Only disappointment was the hood on previous versions stored in hip pad, not separate. That was ingenious. Step backwards since hood is conventional now. Otherwise awesome bag.

The straps on your bag are designed for a rightie, one who initiates using the right shoulder. I initiate the carry of a bag with the left shoulder. I am a leftie, so this bag's straps do not suit me. also the comfort pad is on the wrong side for me.
