Green King
I bought my chipper about a month ago and I am very pleased with it. One weak point in my game was the short shots around the green. So, I started researching chippers. First online and then I selected a couple of the different types of chippers in golf and sporting goods stores to test. I felt most comfortable with the Ping ChipR Wedge and purchased one and I am glad I did. With minimal practice I felt very comfortable with the feel of the club and was able to benefit immediately on the course by reducing on average about 2-3 strokes a round. I also see that I might be able to utilize it in certain situations when I might be under a tree and not be able to make a golf swing to get back into play.

Great club to have in the bag for around the green use correctly you can shave a stroke or two.

I like the club, getting use to the weight. I’m replacing my bump and run shots with this club instead of my 8 or 7. Nice loft and roll.

No more thins or chunks and makes you confident that it is going to be close

I liked the club as a newbie but now that I’ve learned to chip with a gap wedge I do alot better.

Awesome club. Wish I bought it much earlier!! Highly recommend.

I’ve never chipped better since adding this to the bag. It’s versatile, easy to control since it has a putter length shaft, and creates a lot of bite compared to a 7 or 8 iron that I might use for similar shots. Don’t just assume it is for short chips.

Bought this a few weeks ago. Have played several rounds with it. The hype is real. I've used this from 70 yds and in. Fun club to use.

Bought it for chipping, small learning curve, but it works great

I’m quite pleased with the results I’m getting from using this club. Like any specialized club it takes a little getting used to but the payback is worth it!

Since I bought this my short game has never been so consistent and my rounds so much enjoyable. No more chips either not even getting out of the thick grass around the green or sailing over it. Easy to sent straight to the pin with an easy putting stroke and quickly get a feel for distance. Only thing I would add is a slightly larger grip. (Ana don’t be shamed by your playing partners who are just jealous of your short game.)

Buy it! Buy it! Buy it! This is an amazing club! I want to keep this a secret so I can beat everyone around the green.

As someone who has always struggled with chipping using traditional wedges, especially for distances between 10-40 yards, the Ping ChipR has been a game-changer. This club excels at providing a nice chip and roll out, perfectly complementing my strong putting game. One of the standout features of the Ping ChipR is its design. Unlike older chippers that looked awkward and out of place, the Ping ChipR resembles an iron, making it blend seamlessly with the rest of my clubs. This aesthetic improvement is subtle but significant, allowing me to use it confidently without drawing unwanted attention. In terms of performance, the Ping ChipR delivers consistent and reliable results. It gets me close enough to the hole that I can either go up and down or confidently two-putt, significantly improving my short game. The feel and control it provides have made a noticeable difference in my overall performance on the greens. Overall, I highly recommend the Ping ChipR for anyone who struggles with chipping using wedges. It’s a versatile and forgiving club that can help elevate your short game to new heights.
