Don't Recommend

I have had this for years, I got it as a birthday gift. I have a really fast swing speed. The ball always hooks, but on the course it is flys straight, this makes me look like I have never swung a club in my life. I haven't pulled it back out for 7 years. Also if you wanna take it out side the sun light won't allow it to register. It is a very frustrating product fornthe the price. If you want a simulator for your birthday, drop suttle hints. Like, "I would a simulator but not the opti shot 2." So, that way you don't have to go through it like me. Lol.

The only positives here are that there are no additional costs or subscriptions to play the 12 courses and it gives solid feedback on your club face angle. Beyond that, you're on your own. Literally. The company that bought them out no longer supports the software or accounts. The distances are even more inaccurate than I was expecting. The pad sits an an awkward height so standing even with it is tough even with a hitting mat. Not worth the $500 they're asking for a now obsolete system.

Not A Fan

I tried it for a week and it wasn’t accurate and for the sale price of $400 I personally didn’t think it was worth it.

Not Comparable With Any Mac Os. Very Glitchy.

Received this as a birthday gift only to find out that the software is not at all comparable with any Mac OS. Frustrating to say the least. Finally hooked up to a Windows PC and the set up was quite glitchy. Wouldn't recommend.

Not To Be Used With Mac

Wife bought me for my birthday... got it set up and plugged into the computer and never got off the ground. My wife has a very expensive Mac with every upgrade possible and the program froze within 30 seconds of running it so I couldn't even calibrate the clubs... very disappointed and returned faster than I could get it out of the box

Great Fun

Bought this to help get through Michigan winters. Great fun, I’ve had my friends over to play a few rounds and it’s a blast.

Works Well

Works as expected. Very good product. Would buy again.

Good For The Cost

It all depends on what you are looking for, this is NOT the fancy simulator you see on bars or country clubs, this is very basic simulator, but still, for a house I'm sure you will use it and have lots of fun

Good With Slow Swing Speeds

I’ve played around 5 rounds on this. Needed to get a few things light over the sensors, thicker turf to protect sensors from mishits, and golf mat to keep sensor in place. The driver and 3 wood distances and miss hits are way off and putting is not reliable. Irons are good. With only spending around 550$ this is affordable and still fun to play with friends.

Terrible

I bought my husband this for Christmas. He’s only played it twice because it constantly freezes (on a new Mac computer) and the green won’t pick up the hits/swings so he constantly has to close out and open back up.

Poor Features

I bought this three weeks ago still not working right.

Not Awesome, But Good Enough

Works well. Not a launch monitor though... easy setup and tear down

Good Up Grade From Optishot 1

Had OptiShot 1 and got a free upgrade to the #2 software and it made a difference. Not as good as the expensive ones but does give you good indications of what you are doing wrong and what you need to work on. I like the choice of different types of golf balls so that you do not have to use regular balls. The "nerf" balls work well once programed. You need to tell calibrate the unit to your swing, which I did by going to an indoor range and then running my unit for a comparison. I did get a good mat with an underlayment that gets the unit at the right level. For the price this is a great device to use at home. Cured my slice along with some Full Swing videos.

Good Value For What It Is

I bought this knowing it wouldn't be as accurate as the expensive swing simulators. My goal was to have something that would allow me to have some fun and play some golf during the winter without a huge price tag. I think it is more accurate than I thought but then I kept my expectations low. I have enjoyed using it and feel like I'm getting what I paid for and maybe a little more. It's been fun to play golf play with my kids, and teach them in the comfort of my basement.

Great Practice Tool

Really glad I bought this especially living in the Midwest. Frustrating getting it calibrated but once that’s done it’s worth it.
