Rated 2 out of 5 by mja63 from The top hits your nose I bought the mug for my coffee on my drive to work. The first sip I realized that the design is terrible. You have to tilt the bottle to get the coffee into your mouth, of course, but when you tilt it the necessary amount, the flip top hits your nose. You can't avoid it, and the flip top is wet from the steam from the coffee, so your nose gets wet with every sip. Need I say more?

Rated 3 out of 5 by idrinkthings from Great cold, not effective hot I really like the design of this bottle and how easy it is to drink of, even if it's not leakproof. But they really shouldn't call it "Coffee." It does keep ice in your water for over 24 hours (melted a little, but still!). However, I haven't gotten a great result with a Hydro Flask with hot beverages. Not only did the cap have an odd chemical smell when I first used it for coffee, it only took two hours for it to significantly decrease in temperature. I don't think you could keep something hot in it for even 6 hours. Even if it doesn't get totally cold it is sort of lukewarm/room temp which is odd for drinking; I'd almost rather something get completely cold than stay a nondescript temp. And afterwards, I wasn't able to get the coffee smell out of it for water usage. However, the design for drinking cold beverages is super convenient if you like ice cubes in your water/drinks, because the coffee lid is really easy to drink from and keeps them from falling into your face!
