I have an older model of he Garmin Approach and I love it. Unfortunately, it started to go a little haywire. Giving me incorrect information, etc. Purchased the new Approach S44. Brought it home and was excited to use it the next day. However, it comes with absolutely no instructions and you have to go on line to figure out how to operate it.I printed out 33 pages of instructions! Even then, the instructions were so complicated that neither my husband nor I could figure out the simple things such as setting the correct time. It was off by a couple of hours and we weren't able to adjust it. I took it back to the store and even the man who sold it to me couldn't master how to set the Garmin up for use. He was shocked at how difficult it was. He also owned an older model of the Garmin. So he had direct knowledge of the product but the new one stymied him too. Even though I provided him with the 33 pages of information that I had printed out. I am sure that the younger generation of golfers would have been able to figure it out eventually but I find it ridiculous that Garmin makers can't make operating instructions easier to understand. I don't need all the extra "bells and whistles" like heart rate etc. just a GPS to guide me around the golf course. However, I did like the graphics and the layout showing hazards etc. Too bad I couldn't figure out how to us it! Do better Garmin. We aren't all technology geniuses. Needless to say, I returned the Garmin Approach S44 back to the store.
