Callaway Quantum Max Fairway Wood

About This Item

Quantum Max is designed for easy, high launch and built-in forgiveness, giving players more confidence on every swing. Its shallow face design enhances consistency, and its versatility makes it the ideal choice for a wide range of golfers.

Speed Wave 2.0

  • Positions up to 40g of weight low and forward for faster ball speeds and consistent launch. The new Speed Wave 2.0 design frees up even more face flex, boosting energy transfer — especially on low-face strikes.

New Step Sole Design

  • The new Step Sole Design reduces turf contact on the sole for efficient strikes and consistent centerface contact. A reshaped heel adds stability through impact, helping keep the face square for greater control and accuracy.

Next Generation Ai-Optimized Face Design

  • Consistent performance across the entire face, thanks to smarter face flex unlocked by Ai. Every part of the face is precisely tuned through advanced Ai modeling to optimize speed, spin, launch, and accuracy based on real fairway wood impact patterns.

Clean, Streamlined and Versatile Shape

  • Designed for players who want speed, optimal spin, and reliable consistency. With a neutral CG and confidence-inspiring look at address, it’s Callaway's most versatile fairway wood for a wide range of skill levels.

OptiFit4 Hosel Adjustability (3W-5W)

  • Features independent loft and lie adjustability, offering seven total configurations to fine-tune launch angle and shot shape—whether you’re looking for a higher trajectory, straighter ball flight, or a draw-biased setup.

Tech Win & Hosel Lie / Loft Flexibility Are Huge!

I got fitted by a Callaway Master fitter into the new Quantum fairway woods (3W and 3 High Launch) with one of their stock shafts - Denali Silver Frost 60 gram Reg stiff. They replaced the same clubs but Elyte woods with Denali Charcoal Black 60 gram Reg stiff which were very straight and long woods. The transition is very easy given the similarity of technology but I saw the results from the hotter Ti/Carbon face technology on trackman and I’m not very tall so I ordered the woods with Callaway’s new Opti hosel that enables up to 2 degree flat lie (or 2 deg Upright) which is awesome for better sole to turf interaction. Since I play the 15 deg 3W at 14 deg (-1) loft, I can only move it +\- 1 deg (flat in my case) and I play the 3HL at +1 (17.5 deg) so I can only set to 1 deg flat but that definitely looks better at address to my eye vs the club’s toe sitting up. I’ve only played two rounds so far but love the straight as an arrow ball flight. The flexibility to dial in these woods lofts for perfect gapping is huge for my game. On the course, the distance is similar so far to the Elyte which is fine as Elyte is long but trackman did indicate approximately 3 yards more carry which I’ll take. To help with costs, I traded in my 2 Elyte woods for credit towards the new Quantum woods. Bottom line: Callaway has nailed it with the Carbon / Ti face technology for ball speed and these woods along with my new Quantum Triple Diamond Max driver will be in my bag for many years.
