Love the entire Elyte line, this driver has changed my game

Coming from Epic Speed. Same loft and and shaft flex. Epic 5.5 Project X HZDRUS Elyte 5.5 Project X Red Denali. Was also considering PING 430K. The Elyte was more forgiving and longer for me. Also took into account test results from My Golf Spy. But what matters is on the course. Longer and more accurate than the Epic and I’m not any younger. Was hesitant about staying with 5.5 flex, age again. But this Denali has different playing characteristics that fit me better than the HZDRUS now.

I’ve played golf for a long time 37 years I’ve played and seen our hit a ton of clubs and this is the best driver I’ve hit in a long long time! The last time I was this excited about a club it was the 975J pro

Got this as a replacement from a triple diamond ai smoke and overnight my drives are at most 20 yards offline and still carrying 270+ at altitude 5280. So far so good

I played the AI smoke triple diamond max for seven months and kept having a bizarre ball flight Every 4-6 strikes that would go so far right that it was defying the laws of physics.. ive always hit a high draw with my driver for the last 30 years and never had this issue. I pretty much had given up on Callaway drivers until I hit this Elyte triple diamond max and not only is the sound better. The feel is better. The trajectory is better. The distance is about the same, but it does not have that one out of every 5 bizarre ball flights to the right of right. it is a clear improvement from the AI smoke (i’m assuming different internal weighting) both heads weigh the exact same, and are the exact same footprint except for how they sit at address. The AI smoke face set up open at address and the Elyte sets up much more square. I could not be happier with this Elyte td max driver head. I have confidence off the tee again that the ball will draw. I absolutely love the sound. It’s a lot more muted, but really solid sound. It feels like it jumps off the face about the same as the AI smoke but with better feedback imo. Im looking forward to trying the quantum triple diamond max in the future. -Rusty

Great driver, honestly don’t know how the new one can compete with this one!

Coming from AI Smoke TD and looking to get a little more spin/launch/forgiveness. This did that perfectly

I bought this approximately two weeks ago and I have lowered my anywhere 5 to 8 strokes and it is very forgiving

Warning! Long review. First off, I started playing golf on a serious level from 2002-2008. Got down to a 7.5 handicap. TM Superquad 7 TP with a Graffaloy Epic stiff shaft was my Big Dog. I had a natural draw. My first year of driving was 267 carry with 297 roll out. Wanted more fairways so I slowed down my swing and started keeping it in the fairways more often, 237 carry with 267 roll out. I stopped playing in 2008. I took 24 years off and then came back in 2024. Years back I had my swing checked for at a fitting session for a custom set. Casual driver speed was 99 with a stomp on it speed of 104. That was in 2005 when I was 41 yo. In 2025 I came back. Started hitting 500 balls per week for 4 months (2 hybrid - lob wedge), no woods. My draw flight was still there until I hit my driver, fade fade fade! Although I knew better, I went through several different drivers and shafts, knowing I should of had my swing anaylized. Nevertheless, I purchased a Callaway Elyte Triple Diamond Max. I took out the stock shaft and tried a couple different Callaway Tipped shafts. The contact sounded muted and it still faded like most of my other drivers (I do know it's mostly my swing plain). So I moved onto some of my other drivers and shafts. Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago, I was going to sell this driver with some others. I putt the stock shaft back in (Tensei 1k Black Stiff,). I thought, why not? So, I regripped it and decided to try it one more time. HOLY CRAP! I must have lucked out. Again, it's been 20 years since a fitting and I've just been experimenting with heads and shafts but I must have gotten lucky. My loft is 10.5, adapter at neutral and draw. My flight is medium plus and my draw is back! My carry has improved by 28-30 and my roll out is 252. That's compared to 215 carry and 230 roll out Fade. I'm ok with a 250+ Driver average at 61 years of age. I'm not breaking record distances but out of the last 40 swings/holes using the driver, I've missed the fairway 1 time. It still has a more of a muted sound and you sometimes you think you missed the sweet spot then you get to your ball and think, "Geez! I must have hit it better than I thought I did." My misses (on the club face) are normally just above center to slightly high toe side. If I do that with this driver/shaft, there's almost no difference in flight or overall distance. Today, I barely hit one on the toe side and it still had a draw flight and went 242. That's extreme forgiveness! I know I've hit a couple around 282-385. I believe I can get my average back up to 260-270 in time. It's a nice driver/shaft combo for me.

I bought this on Callaway Preowned after a Callaway fitting. It was brand new still in the wrapper. it's nice to have a driver that is back to my old specs after 3 long years with a Taylormade Stealth and Qi10 "lofted up". I've had 8+ Callaway fittings and they always put me in the best spot. 9 degree dialed down to 8. Now with a lighter regular shaft. I love this driver

Excellent driver, great feel, easy to hit, I definitely picked up 10 yards off the tee.

Very happy with this purchase. More bang for less bucks

This is a nice driver, but the condition was not quite as good as what I generally expect from Callaway Golf Preowned, and it came with the wrong headcover (a mini driver headcover that doesn't fit the clubhead). The grip was also in poor shape and was installed crooked and it had to be changed.

Have ben playing the TD Max for about a month, got it to replace the Elyte X. It's very stable and easy to hit. I'm glad I made the switch. The Elyte X is also great, but for me the Max is much more stable. I have to admit, my swing speed is in the 80 mph range but the shaft works great for me..
