Solid Club, Poor Description Accuracy

Great club. I just wish they provided better descriptions for the clubs they sell — mine had a big chip on the crown. If I had known, I probably would’ve paid a little more for a better one.

I’ve played golf for 3 years and worked my tail down to a 13 handicap. The next piece of my game to lose some strokes is the long 200+ shots for off the tee on narrow par 4’s, 2nd shots on par 5’s, and 2nd shots on long par 4’s. I’ve struggled with my G410 19 degree ping hybrid as it constantly hooked left. So I decided I needed something long, accurate and easier to hit from off the deck and tee box. I read all the great reviews online, researched YouTube of the Apex UW and everyone raved about it so I decided to purchase the 21 degree Apex UW with an X-Stiff shaft. Figured more loft would be easier for me to hit off the deck and control off the tee box. Previously had a stiff 70g shaft on the g410 but purchased the x-stiff shaft with 80g for my swing. I was a great match. Wow. Just wow. I’ve only used it at the range and I love it! I haven’t hit this many long shots off the tee or off the deck with a “wood” ever. Off the tee box and deck with the 21 degree it has great ball flight, long (210-220 carry) and accurate. Exactly what I needed. It doesn’t hook, plays straight with a baby draw when hit well. Even on off hits it still carries 185-200. Keep in mind if you go lower loft you’ll see more distance. Definitely get fitted for your swing before purchasing. You’ll see the difference and will enjoy more. This is exactly what I needed and so happy I invested in this. Playing a few rounds the next few days so looking forward to using this bad boy. If you’re having any thoughts about buying this, do it!

I did not have the time to get this club to the range prior to using it on the course. First time swinging it live, 225 yards from the pin, next stroke I'm putting for eagle. I THINK I'm keeping this club...

Superb Alternative To A Fairway Wood And Hybrid

This club is fabulous. It is strong enough to replace your fairway wood and versatile enough to replace your hybrid. This is a great golf club.

Best 5 Wood I Have Ever Had!

For me 5 woods are harder to hit and they are more inconsistent. This club is so easy to hit and be consistent. It goes the same yardage every time. I think this club will be staying in the bag for many years to come.

I Was Skeptical About Trading In My Hybrids For The Utility Wood. However, It Turned Out To Be One Of The Best Club Exchanges.

The Utility Wood is an excellent addition to the Callaway golf club offerings. I have long had the Hybrids in my golf bag. The Utility Wood takes Hybrids-type clubs to the next level. I have more control over the Utility Wood than the former Hybrids. Excellent job R & D.

Comically Easy To Hit

No clue who designed this thing, but Callaway should make him/her design all clubs. This thing is a rocket and so easy to hit. Toe, heel, doesn’t matter, the ball speed stays up and stays straight. Haven’t loved a club this much since the Steelhead III.

Works Well

As advertised. Easy to hit and a bit longer than my last 5 wood. May not be as easy to make it go left or right but I prefer straight . This club is really straight.

Best Of Both Worlds

Extends the function of fairway woods to the utilization in the rough as well. Has replaced my 5 wood without looking back. Even with slightly shorter shaft the distance is easily there

Easier To Hit, Very Manageable

This club isn’t intended for beginners, but as a beginner, I find it really easy to hit. I’ve used in several rounds now, and have very consistent distances. It seems to feel a lot lighter and easier to swing than my hybrids, but the weight in the bottom makes it easy to get the ball up and it sure rockets! I had a lot of trouble in my game learning to hit woods but found it easy to develop a swing for this. I would purchase it again and might consider a 17 to accompany my 19.

Quality Hybrid!!!!!!!!!!!

This club is long! Who needs a 3 wood when you can hit this 250 yards with more accuracy. At 64 years old that is saying something. The price is a little high but the performance is amazing.
