The Series 3 Max+ is a reliable, easy-to-use laser rangefinder designed to deliver clear, accurate distances with minimal effort. Built around visibility, simplicity, and essential performance, it helps golfers get their number quickly and confidently in any playing condition.
| Rangefinder vs. GPS watch: Which is right? | A laser rangefinder measures a selected target, while a GPS watch typically provides mapped course distances. Series 3 Max adds slope-adjusted distance, flag lock, vibration and magnification. The fit depends on target-specific laser readings versus wearable mapping. The Series 3 Max is best for golfers who want precise distances to flags, hazards and landing areas before each shot, while a GPS watch provides quick front, center and back yardages without needing to aim at a target. Golfers who prioritize shot-by-shot accuracy may prefer a rangefinder, while those who value hands-free convenience and course mapping may prefer a GPS watch. |
|---|---|
| What are slope, flag lock and tournament mode? | Slope calculates distance adjusted for elevation. Flag lock identifies the pin, and pulse vibration confirms acquisition. For tournament play, slope must be off when required by applicable rules. Golfers should confirm event rules. |
| Who is it best for? | Best for golfers who want accurate, target-specific distances without paying premium flagship prices. The Series 3 Max is especially useful for golfers working on course management, players who use slope-adjusted yardages during practice rounds and those looking to improve confidence when selecting clubs. Its flag lock technology, vibration feedback and rechargeable battery make it a strong option for golfers seeking features often found in higher-priced rangefinders. Players who prefer precise distances to flags, bunkers and hazards rather than relying solely on GPS mapping may find the Series 3 Max particularly valuable. |

I had to keep adjusting the lens for focus throughout use. It did its job but I am a Bushnell loyalist and the representative talked me into trying a new product. The focusing of the lens was the problem. I would have more than likely kept it for the value.

I bought this as a budget rangefinder, and things didn't work out all that well. I feel the unit had a defect and returned it. The more that I used it during the round, the further off the numbers became. Mid-round I was clearing playing downhill, but I was given an adjusted number that added yardage. Never once did it deduct yardage. Seemed to work fine on the flats. Hopefully this was just a defective unit, and it's not a problem thru out the brand. I can't at this time recommend this rangefinder.
A decent golfer at best

I ordered this ro replace my Bushnell item that finally died after 8 years. My first time out with the product was on a two day golf trip The course had GPS units on the carts. I did find that on a few holes, the cart GPS and the yardage I would shoot would be 7-10 yards off. 90% of the time, the two yardages would be within a yard or two of each other. I have found it picks up objects beyond the pin quickly so you after to double click to focus on the flag. I admit I probably don't have the steadiest of hand when I shoot the pin. My playing partner used it several times yesterday on my 3rd time on the course with it and really liked it. I thought yesterday's yardages were very accurate and we also used the slope adjustment more since we were at a different course. Oversll, I like the item and believe it will service my game pretty well. I also like the USB charge versus the traditional battery units.
