I bought my Action Heat vest a couple years ago. Working outside in the winter months has been a breeze, turn it on and let it go to work keeping you warm, even in the coldest of days. I also bought a vest and blanket for my wife. It was a no brainer what I was going to buy for my son a couple weeks ago since his job has him working outdoors during the winter months as well. Between the softshell vest and a back up battery he is comfortable all day long. You can't beat the durability of the softshell. Yes there are others out there but fail in comparison. My first action heat product and my second heated product with the first being a sweatshirt from another company. Few things about the product… 1) lightweight and comfortable. I love the soft shell and the battery pack is small and light. It’s warm when turned on and feels great. 2) I usually wear XL but got a large so I could wear it under something without being bulky. This does make the bottom of the vest a bit tight and because it sits just below the waist it makes getting into a car a little work. So keep that in mind when ordering. 3) battery pack placement in the pocket isn’t a great spot. It shares a common pocket, albeit with a small secondary pouch, but it makes the pocket tight for putting a cell phone in or even your hands. A separate pocket would have been preferred. 4) no chest pocket. I wish it had a small zipper pocket on the chest to fit a cell phone or something of similar size. 5) the button to turn the vest on and off is already starting to wear the black “paint” off of the corners of the button and they are now white. For the cost and only having it two weeks I would have hoped it helped up a little better. We will see long term.
