My Third Skycaddie and Best So Far
KS from Florida from Port St. Lucie, Florida | 1/18/2011 7:50 AM
I have owned 3 different models of Skycaddie. This is definitely the best so far. It picks up and stays on the satellites. I had problems with losing the satellites and having to reset the GPS on the sg4 I had. Plus the sg4 was slow displaying the yardage. Not so with the SGX. I have one complaint. When you rotate the unit to get the green view sometimes I have to do it a couple of times to get the horizontal instead of the vertical display. That said not a biggy.
8 Months & 3 Units Later
CV from mo | 10/10/2010 9:56 AM
I do love this GPS but it simply cannot stand up to regular use. My first unit had to be replaced as it froze after a mandatory software update. This was a relief as the joystick had lost all sensitivity. I got the second unit and again, after about 10 rounds the joystick is starting to die again. Fortunately, this unit has frozen as well and needs to go back. I do play a lot of rounds but I am very careful with handling it. Hopefully 3 will do the trick.
Great GPS unit
john bowers from Thornton, CO | 10/3/2010 12:28 PM
My wife bought this for me for our anniversary. This is the first GPS unit that I have owned and it is a great device. The hole view function is great to play with and it allows you to track all kinds of stats. I have not had any software problems with my unit and syncing has been easy. Overall, this is a great device and would recommend to anyone.
Extended Use Review
CV from St. Louis | 8/27/2010 11:13 PM
The SGX is still a great GPS but I thought I would write this review after using it for several months. On the good side great interface distances, entering scores etc., very visible and easy to read screen, incredibly ACCURATE, fairly easy to navigate, some of the best detailed maps of courses out there love the Green view. On the downside, after a recent download my unit froze permanently and had to be replaced, the joystick loses sensitivity, holds limited courses and score cards.
