The G20 irons feature distance control, an optimized CG (Center of Gravity) position, and a thin face - with a clean appearance for confidence at address. Forgiveness and accuracy are achieved through extreme perimeter weighting in the 17-4 stainless steel head. A multi-material cavity badge made of soft elastomer improves feel and sound while enhancing distance control, allowing you to play your best golf.
Consistent, precise distance control was achieved by using a thin face backed by a floating CTP structure. Weight in the back flange of the deeply cut, multi-cavity head increases the MOI. Combined with PING’s new CFS steel shaft, the G20 optimizes feel and trajectories.
The cavity's floating CTP (Custom Tuning Port) structure stabilizes a thin face to generate fast ball speeds and enhance distance control.
The hosel-to-head transition inspires confidence at address that the ball will launch easily from any lie.
Optimized CG Position
Weight saved by thinning the face allowed engineers to redistribute weight to the perimeter and the back flange, which positions the CG low and back to launch the ball higher and longer.
A multi-material cavity badge made with soft elastomer heel and toe sections improves feel and sound.

The overall club is very forgiving. My previous set were Walter Hagens so this is a nice step up. My first impression of these when I hit them in the store was how solid they felt. On toe hits the club head won't twist or shake. It takes a few rounds to get used to the line them up correctly. I have been hitting some shots slightly to the right because of this. I shot a 43,42,43,45, the first four founds I played with them then I went out and shot a 56. Great clubs.

I had been looking at new clubs for over a year. I hit everything in the store and decided to try the G20? Wow am I glad i did. I have played 3 rounds with my new G20's and I love them. They are about 6 yards longer than my old clubs. They are also very forgiving but I can still work the ball when needed. They are pin seekers. Great ball flight and control. I highly recommend them.

I have always bought TaylorMade since their woods are awesome and my Itsy Bitsy Spider putter could make chocolate chilli look good, but I liked the way the G20's felt on the store's test range best and played 18 with them that same day. Typically, I hit a slight draw, but the first ball I hit with them was 175 yards straight-as-an-arrow to 8 feet from the pin, and the G20's just kept playing like that the rest of my round. I guess you could hit these clubs badly . . . but I was not able to.

I went to the Pembroke Pines FL store and met with Ryan Chiplock who worked on the sales floor. I came in for a new set of irons. Thought I was going to buy the new RocketBallz Irons. Ryan spent over an hour with me and I realized these PING G20's were the right irons for me. I am a 15 handicap and I've played 3 rounds with them. Yesterday I shot an 82 from the blue tees and hit a ton of greens with these irons. I won't say they went further than my old clubs. Just an enormous sweet spot.
