Turn up the stakes during your next golf outing with the Vegas Golf On The Course Game. This 12-chip set includes 4 positive chips, 7 negative chips and 1 wild chip. The object of the game is to avoid getting the negative chips and earn/keep as many of the positive chips as possible. The deluxe tee bag doubles as convenient storage for the game as you enjoy taking the on-course fun to new heights.

How to Play

The first player to hit a shot that corresponds with the designation on the chip is given that chip. He/She keeps that chip until someone else hits the same shot. The chip is then passed to the next player who makes that same shot.

Example play: if a player goes into the sand, he/she holds that chip until another player goes into the sand. He/She then passes the chip to that player. The same holds true for the positive chips. The last player to get a one putt or a birdie is the one who gets the chip.

Now for the good part! At the beginning of the round, each chip is assigned a designated dollar value. At the end of the round, those players holding the negative chips pay each player the designated amount for each chip he/she is holding. Those holding the positive chip will receive the same amount from each of the other players.

Positive Chips and Definitions

  • Birdie: 1 under Par
  • 1 Putt: once on the green, it take the player 1 putt to hole out
  • Closest to the Pin: best tee shot (normally played on Par 3 holes)
  • Wild: Neutral; whatever rule your group wants to make up (lost ball, long drive, etc.)

Negative Chips and Definitions

  • Sand: when a ball is in the sand trap and is hit out and in the cup in 2 (TIPP: make this 2x the bet)
  • Water: when a player hits their ball into the water
  • Trees: when a player hits their ball into the trees/woods (if this is a gray area, majority rules)
  • 3 Putt: once a ball is on the green, it takes 3 putts to hole out
  • 8-Ball: scoring an 8 or more on a hole (2 chips)
  • Grave Digger: when it takes more than 1 shot to get out of a sand trap
  • Beverage/Beer: every Par 3, the furthest from the pin on the opening drive gets the Beverage/Beer chip. If it is in your pocket when the beer cart comes, you must buy a round. The only way you get rid of it is by having a better shot on the next Par 3. What happens if the beer cart comes by again before the next Par 3? Then you are still buying
