Tour-Proven

Tour-proven distance comes from consistent speed. 716 AP2 irons use extreme high density tungsten weighting to position the center of gravity low and perfectly aligned at impact for more speed.

Feel & Forgiveness

The most advanced, solid feeling and forgiving Tour played irons they’ve ever made. An innovative co-forged construction with high density tungsten low and on the perimeter increases moment of inertia for speed on off-center hits.

AP2 CG

Tour-Proven Distance and Forgiveness.

  • Distance from the low CG better aligned for impact
  • Forgiveness from the co-forged high density tungsten weights

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Feel I bought the clubs late in the season and was able to play two rounds before the first snow fall in Minnesota. Shot low score of the year both times with the clubs, had great feel and great pop for this late in the year. I was able to shape the ball and stop it on the greens with ease compared to my old clubs. So far no complaints.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Surprise purchase! I was in the market for some new irons, but did not have any preconceived ideas of which brand...only that they have a more traditional look (I do not like the thicker top line of most of the newer clubs). I went to get a fitting (a definite must if you are thinking of getting new clubs, whether irons or driver, etc.) - with no specific brand in mind. The fitter initially started me with the 716 AP2s. After trying several different shaft combinations, he then had me hit the newer Mizunos - again with several shaft combinations. Finally he had me try the Callaway Apex Pros. After again trying several shaft combinations - I eliminated the Mizunos. So - it was between the Callaway Apex and the 716s. Both clubs felt really solid, but the 716s seemed to have a better ball flight (at least for me), with the ball seeming to hang in the air longer before falling out of the sky. This was based on the same shaft in each model. The 716s are now on order, so looking forward to putting them in play when they come in.
