Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Upgraded from an aging R7 - 165-180 ball speed - easily picked up significant yardage, in the right direction. The claims about less spin on the ball is definitely accurate. When i make mistakes with the r7, i'm left with a ball that climbs real high and fades hard to the right. With the SLDR, between less spin, easy adjustments, on draw/fade and loft, i hit about 95/100 at the range that would be in play, well over 300 yards on the fly. I've hit all since the R7, this is my favorite.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely Love This Driver So I decided it was time for an upgrade to my driver. I have been playing a Taylormade R580 since 2004 and hit it pretty well still, but have a tendency to spray it once and a while. I went to Golf Galaxy in Towson and Zach was super helpful through the whole fitting process. I hit the R1, the Ping G25, the RBZ Stage 2, the Callaway XHot. They all were pretty nice but they just didn't feel comfortable in my hands. So Zach walks over with the SLDR...the first 5 swings were pure beauty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Low Spinning Driver FINALLY! I have gained 15 yards and am more accurate off the tee. The forward centre of gravity allowed me to get my spin rate below 3000rpm for the first time and I have tried many drivers. The negatives are that if you are a slower swinging golfer, you may loose distance due to the lower spin rate. Also it's not as forgiving as some. I would say if you find the centre of the club face most times (or close to it) and have a moderate to fast swing speed, it's worth a try.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply Amazing This by far is the best TM driver I have hit in a long time. The club has a great look at address, and the it has a sound that is truly unique. The sliding weight is super simple to use and beats the old MWT system that once was revolutionary. Still has the =/- 1.5 degrees in loft to really customize this club to your game. Easily added 15 yards to my drives today when I put it in the bag. Great job TMaG with this product. You will not be disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Length (expected), surprisingly accurate I switched to this club from RBZ 1. Looks, sound and feel was a huge improvement!! I upgraded to the TP in an extra stiff and knew my distance was going to improve, but I was not expecting the increase in accuracy. No longer am I just trying to put it in the fairway, I can now pick my spots. The low spin really allows you to hit the ball straight but still leaves the capability to slightly draw and fade the ball without it getting away from you.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from stock shaft sucks i like the idea of going back to black and a different face material than the R series. But the stock shaft is too light. this has always been a downfall of TM but they havent done anything about it

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Absolutely Hate It This club is not for everyone. I would recommend hitting it outside or on the course before you buy it. I am a 3 hdcp. I hit it straight but I lost distance over my ten year old callaway. I have tried 3 different shafts in it. I hit it close to center on most shots. It is not for me. Very disappointed. Total waste of money.
