The Tour Preferred CB irons combine a forged face with a cast undercut cavity to deliver the feel of a forged iron with the forgiveness of a deep cavityback. The Precision Weighting Port ensures consistent swingweight and optimal CG in every club.

  • Two-piece head: forged face for great feel, cast undercut cavity for increased MOI and forgiveness
  • Classic, tour-proven player's shape
  • Thin, high-COR clubface for increased ball speed and distance
  • Precision Weighting Port ensures consistent swingweight and optimal CG location in every club
  • Progressive kick-point shafts for longer and higher long-irons, lower and controllable short-irons

Tour Preferred

Precision Weighting Port

A weight port permanently positioned in the center of the back of an iron head during assembly, the Precision Weighting Port assures that each iron in the set is of uniform swingweight while also ensuring that the CG location is precisely and optimally positioned in the center of the face between the toe and heel. In the past, clubmakers have installed cartridges of varying weight in the hosel to adjust swingweight, and by doing so have pulled the CG closer to the heel to varying degrees, resulting in a set of irons consistent in swingweight but inconsistent in CG location.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these clubs! I recently traded in my R-9 TP's for this set of clubs and had them fitted at Golf Galaxy. The clubs after being professionally fitted to my swing (loft/lie) have helped my game immensely. I went from a 12 handicap to my current 9 in just over 5 months which to me is phenomenal. I would highly recommend these clubs to anyone who is serious about golf and loves TAYLORMADE!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Irons for Mid-Low Handicapper Bought these about a month ago, 6-7 Rounds played. The forged feels great, still get good distance on mishits, very workable, and look great! Beware the degrees listed on here and Taylormade's website are incorrect. The AW is 51* NOT 50* for those trying to correctly gap their wedges. They are forged so you could just get the AW bent from 51* to 50*.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Clubs I love these clubs. For the price you cannot get anything that comes close. You can work the ball both ways and the feel is solid. The clubs are also very forgiving. I normally don't buy clubs unless I test them first but I took a chance with these and I have no complaints.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most forgiving Forged Iron Bought a set and could not be more happier. They do have a clean player profile as you look down from the top. I took them to the range twice. They are easy to hit, go straight and very forgiving

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Clubs Finally upgraded to a new set of irons and I couldn't be happier. These clubs have great feel and have given me some extra distance. From the first swing I was sold.
