The PING Scottsdale TR Series Putters feature a variable-depth-groove insert for distance control. The grooves are deepest in them middle and get gradually shallower. This putter gets you greater ball-speeds when you want it and a sleek design that not only performs on the course, but is appealing to the eye.

Variable-Depth-Groove Insert for Distance Control:

Grooves are deepest in the middle and get gradually shallower to the perimeter of the insert. This counteracts normal loss in energy or ball speed to ensure more-consistent ball velocity across the putter face, even if the ball is struck off-center toward the heel or toe. PING® studies show a substantial increase in ball-speed consistency measured at nine points on the face.

  • Variable-depth-groove insert
  • Big increase in ball-speed consistency across face
  • 6061 aerospace-grade aluminum insert
  • Black PVD finish
  • Mid-size PP58 cord grip

Stroke Type:

Don't Change Your Stroke – Change Your Putter. PING® has tested hundreds of players both on and off the Tour over the years and overwhelming scientific evidence shows you will putt more consistently with a putter that's balance matches your stroke type. To help classify your stroke type PING® has classified every putter into one of three stroke types; Straight, Slight Arc and Strong Arc Stroke Types. Your stroke is determined by your closing angle and the amount your putter face rotates during the forward stroke.

  • Straight: Face Rotation of < 3.5° - Strong Arc: Face Rotation of > 7.5° - Slight Arc: Face Rotation of 3.5° to 7.5°
  • Every PING® putter comes with a colored shaft label indicating the stroke type – Blue = Straight Type, Red = Strong Arc Type, and Green = Slight Arc Type
  • Grayhawk is balanced for slight arcs (Slight Arc = Face Rotation of closing angle 3.5° to 7.5°). To find your stroke type, download the free iPING Putter App

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this putter! This is the first putter I've purchased in more than 20 years and it's been a great investment. It feels good in my hands and it's very solid and smooth when striking the ball. The design is simple and effective, and I have much more confidence with this putter. In just a few weeks of putting I've had much more consistency and accuracy. I've made many more longer distance puts, in particular. Just has a great feel and provides a good solid roll of the ball.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buy this!!! I never liked mallet putters and definitely never thought I would own one until... I discovered the Ping Scottsdale TR Greyhawk Putter. It is not too bulky and the weight is actually similar to the new Ping Anser 2. The solid white line at the top extending the entire length of the putter head contrasted with the nice black finish is an absolute work of art. You feel incredibly confident over the ball in the sound that it makes is the classic "Ping!"

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It has improved my putting. I was amazed at how much my putting has improved. I would prefer a softer grip.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love how it feels and looks. I'm just starting out with golf, but I like the mallet style putter. I tried other brands, but the Grayhawk feels right for me.
