A perfect alternative for a traditional driver, the PING Men's Rapture Fairway produces high launching shots that fly further and with pinpoint accuracy. The tungsten sole plate accounts for nearly 25% of the club head's mass, positioning the center of gravity much lower for high launching shots that fly further than you ever thought possible. A tall, variable thickness face enlarges the club's hitting surface for additional forgiveness and a bigger sweet spot, so you always make solid contact.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great addition to my bag! Prior to purchasing the Rapture, I was gaming: Ping G30 SF Tec 10 degree Adams Tight Lies Ti 13.5 & 18 I love all 3, but the 13.5 was a much better club for me from the fairway/rough than from the tee. Some shots were good but the consistency was not there, and there was a pretty big gap between my D-3w. At my club there are a lot of par 4's that are not driver holes, and only a couple of holes that require a fairway wood off the deck. Enter the Rapture. It is incredibly consistent from the tee. It goes about 85-90% of what my driver does. It is also very workable as well. From the fairway it is not as good as the Adams, but very playable from a good lie. If you can hit a 3w from a good lie, you can with this club. If you can't then this club probably won't help. The feel is like that of most fairway woods, despite the ball exploding off of the face more like it does with a driver. I have also improved by being forced to use the 5w on long shots from a less than perfect lie without the Adams 3w in the bag. The 5w is more consistent and leaves me in better shape anyway for those shots. I will still game the Adams some at more open courses where I can just hit driver all day. I see this club being in my bag often, but as a 3w replacement not a driver replacement. Very expensive but worth the $!
