PING Color Codes Chart

What's Your PING Color Code?

PING Color Code Chart

PING irons are available in a variety of different Color Codes (lie angles) to fit golfers of varying sizes, swing tendencies and ball-flight preferences. Color Codes range from "Extremely Upright" to "Extremely Flat."

The Importance of Color Code (Lie Angle)

Establishing the most effective Color Code is very important as it can impact direction. Clubs that are too upright may cause a golfer to draw, hook or pull the ball; while clubs that are too flat may cause the golfer to fade, slice or push the ball. Discover your PING Color Code and "Play Your Best."

Color Codes Explained

As previously explained, each Color Code aligns with a particular club design (flat versus upright). Please see the following list for additional details regarding the benefits each Color provides.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BUY THESE IRONS! OK i got my new G25 Irons yesterday and took them to the range. I couldn't hit them out of my shadow!! After about 30 minutes I figured out to just let the clubs do their job…so i took a nice smooth swing and I was amazed at the high straight shots that just kept on coming. Played today and they didn't disappoint….same thing smooth swing straight shots. Been playing golf for many years and this seems too good to be true!!! Even with the smooth tempo swing these are a club longer. Buy these

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great feel for non forged irons. Easy to hit. These are great irons for 5-12 handicaps and low shooters may love these also. Has much more of a players look than their past irons outside of the blades they have made. They don't look like shovels and the only club you can see a small portion of the cavity is the 4 iron (which is easy to hit). Easy to hit the ball straight or work a draw. You can hit a fade with these but it takes a pretty precise strike to do so as I feel with the small offset that shot is harder to pull off. Try em.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New & Improved After playing 20 plus years with a full set (2 thru sand wedge) of Ping EYE2s, fitted and bought new in 1991, I decided it might be time to try something new. I didn't dislike my old-time, dependable friends, I just thought it was time. I tried both the new G30 and G25 and although I know there are differences in lofting and club face dimensions, I went with the G25s because they 'felt" better. After 15-20 or so rounds and, at least initially getting used to the new irons, my game is just a lot more fun. Compared to my old irons, these irons fly higher and straighter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent I bought these clubs about a month ago, upgrading from a lower end Burner 2.0 set. The difference was immediately noticeable. These clubs are incredibly forgiving and easy to hit. Let the clubs do the work and you'll be happy. Make ABSOLUTELY sure you get the right set to match your swing speed and attack angle. Critical to get the correct set. I got S flex shafts moving up from a R flex set - my swing speed was too fast for a R flex and the face wasn't getting to back to a proper position. The guys at my local store spent some time with me to get all of the specifics right and its made a huge difference. Immediately knocked 8 strokes off my next round and I wasn't even used to the clubs yet. A+ set from Ping.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Irons If you are a mid to high-handicapper and in the market for new clubs, then these Ping G25 irons are designed for you. I have played 5-10 rounds with these and have prepared a thorough review based on three categories: forgiveness, ball flight, and workability. Forgiveness – 10/10 Wow! These are easily the most forgiving irons that I have ever hit. With my previous set of Nike irons, an off-center hit would result in a loss of 10-15 yards, but with the Ping G25’s, an off-center hit travels just as far as a shot in the sweet spot. For example, I recall one shot where I hit a 7 iron off the heel of the club and expected the ball to come up short and slice to the right. I couldn’t believe my eyes when the ball flew straight as an arrow directly where I was aiming! I can’t say enough about how beneficial these are if you are prone to mishits. Ball Flight – 9/10 If you are someone, like me, who struggles with hitting low shots, these irons will vastly improve your game. These clubs are designed to get the ball high in the air very. I struggled getting the ball into the air with my previous irons, but these launch the ball nice and high allowing it to land softly on the green. Workability – 6/10 Now let me preface this by saying I am not someone who is great at putting a draw or fade on the ball. With my previous irons, I was able to hit a slight draw about 3 out of 10 times. With my new Ping G25 irons, I can hit a very slight draw about 4 out of 10 times. These clubs are designed to be forgiving, and the tradeoff is less workability. Conclusion These clubs are a great mid-level set of irons and will help the average player hit the ball higher and straighter. If I were given the choice, I would buy these clubs again and would strongly recommend them to any mid to high-handicapper. I’m looking forward to my continued improvement with these Ping G25 Irons!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Forgiving and consistent! Only had the clubs for a few months, It took some outings for me to adjust to them. I'm getting a consistent drive with more lob than my previous clubs. Enjoy playing with them which is the most important part.
