Rated 5 out of 5 by from decent upgrade Used the G series 10.5 degree twice now, it really sounds like an aluminum bat. I would say it is a bit longer than the G20 I replaced. Lower spin also, not as much of a curved flight on most drives relative to the G20 I played before. I did hit the G LS TEC version 2-3 yards further with 280 RPM less spin but almost all shots were a fade. Compare several heads side by side when buying and you will notice a loft difference. I took the lowest loft of the 4 10.5 degree heads available. The club assistant did not believe me when I told him they have a noticeable variation in loft until he also checked a few. Better to get a lower loft and adjust up than to get a higher loft and adjust down for me. Adjusting up adds draw bias for a righty. Down is fade bias.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from F-U-N It's a fun club to play. Have had it less then a month but have had it on the course and to the driving range multiple times. Hit the sweet spot and it flies!! Off shots are getting plenty of distance too, very forgiving club.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't miss a fairway Very forgiving and long. The sound and feel is much different when you hit the sweet spot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Game changer After 5 rounds with this club it's my favorite club ever. I play off the whites and score in the low 80's. On a good day I'll be in the 70's and low 90's on a bad day. I previously played a Nike driver that I hit very erratic. I tried a dozen clubs at the store and used a gift card for the hundreds and change it cost. I would have never paid that much for a club in the past but now that I've played it I would pay for it out of my own pocket. Every hit is long. I will still hurry and shank a shot here and there but even my shanks are long. It's incredible. I'm consistently hitting the ball 260-270 and occasionally 300 (twice today). I might be able to hit previous drivers that far on the range, but never the course. Also, for whatever reason It's really straight. I can't explain it. I'm just a hacker. If you play much I have to imagine you could do much better. I've always said it would be wiser to spend money on lessons than clubs but this club is different. Pay the money. You won't regret it. One thing to be aware of: If you like a 10.5 and think you might want to lower it buy the 9.5 instead. If you decide you prefer the 10.5 you'll be fine. Adjusting it to 10.5 closes the club head slightly. If you buy the 10.5 and want to lower it to 9.5 it will open the club head. This is death for the average golfer with a slice. Basically, start low and go high, not the reverse.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Straight and long.. Bought this driver to replace my G25 I had been playing for a few years and I absolutely love it!! I've already improved my driving accuracy in just a few rounds and this club is even a little longer as well. I'm a 2 handicap, but still struggle with the short game like everybody else! ;) This club has made me a lot more confident on the tee box though in a very short time period! Not sure how Ping can improve on this one..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Driver Gives you more feedback on mishits with a different sound and feel but still has good performance on mishits and is easy work the ball left or right. When you hit the sweet spot it is pure magic though, have hit some monster drives in the 2 rounds I've used it in. I am using an aftermarket shaft fit by Club Champion though so the performance will improve with a shaft fit to you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This thing is a monster! This driver is insane. It may be the easiest driver I have ever hit and I have added about 20 yards of carry distance to my drives compared to the Callaway Diablo. Carrying it about 250 when I hit it in the sweet spot. I can't believe it? I wasn't interested in Ping but am I sure glad I tried it. Great Driver!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Always in Play I bought the G a week ago. Before I talk about the club I want to say how pleased I was with Don at the Naperville store. He was extremely knowledgeable and very patient as I tried numerous clubs with a variety of shafts and lofts. I was playing a Titleist 913 D2 and was looking to change to new equipment. My heart was set on looking at the Taylormade M2 based on all the reviews. I thought it would improve my distance and accuracy. I was tending to pull and pull hook the Titlist and the reviews from the M2 said I should not do that. It did nothing of the sort. I was worthless on the monitor with it. I am sure most of it is due to my swing as I am a mid handicapper who does not generate a ton of sent speed. Don had me try the Ping G. I could not be more pleased. I hit my best drive s with this club. Played one round and only misse one fairway. This club has changed my golf game. I have the stiff shaft with 10.5 loft. The club sounds great and the ball explodes off the face. The club is worth the money and I highly recommend it.
