Teaching Principles:

I believe in a tension free golf swing. I start every student with the basic fundamentals (Posture, grip and alignment) because if you do not have the basics, it is impossible to have a good golf swing. While teaching all levels of golfers from beginners to Professionals, I believe teaching should be kept simple and fun. Every student is taught at his or her own pace. I truly believe that you can eliminate swing flaws and reinforce the correct swing changes with video, exercises, and training aids. Every student will learn at a faster pace and enjoy the great game of golf.

Teaching Principles:

My teaching philosophy is to keep everything as simple and detailed as necessary to help you meet your own personal goals and expectations. This philosophy includes the usage of the Laws, Principles, and Preferences method. I believe it is important to keep in mind the Laws, which produce ball flight into your teaching system. These include:

  1. club head speed
  2. club head path
  3. club face position
  4. centeredness of contact
  5. angle of approach

I also believe that the recognition of individual differences between students and making successful adjustments to each student is a large part in the art of teaching. In addition, I feel it is important to use a student-centered approach, which will allow you as a teacher to identify a particular students learning style and in return allow you to teach a swing that corresponds with the students physical characteristics.

Teaching Principles:

My goal as a teacher is to help each student reach their goals they have set for themselves. I believe that with a good grip, stance, posture and balance everyone can be successful and have fun with the game of golf. Each golfer has different physical abilities and skills set that make their swings special to them. Together we will find what works for the student and give them drills and form a plan to help them have more fun.

To learn the fundamentals of the swing and how they affect the flight of the ball is important. Learning what causes the ball to do what helps understand what is happening in the swing. To understand why we do the swing drills and what part of the swing it is working on and above all to learn a solid Pre-Shot Routine to rely on for every swing.
