ABOUT LASER RANGEFINDERS

Add pinpoint accuracy and precise yardage to your game with a laser golf rangefinder. Understanding your distance to the green is critical information when selecting a club and knowing these details can increase your confidence when addressing the ball. Similar to GPS devices, laser rangefinders fire a laser beam from the device to your target to accurately determine yardage. Rangefinders provide more accurate readings than a GPS and are for the serious to advanced golfer.

Use the chart below to compare rangefinders and determine the range, accuracy, magnification, and power of the perfect rangefinder for your game.

Key Feature Glossary

Measurement Range

Measurement Range

Having a Laser Rangefinder is terrific, but if it you're too far away from the pin to get a reading it's of no help. When selecting a Rangefinder, make sure to keep in mind how you are planning to use the device. Ask yourself these questions to help pair yourself up with the perfect unit: Will I be determining my yardage from the fairway or the tee? Does my favorite course have reflectors on their flag sticks to allow for longer, more accurate readings?

Measurement Accuracy

You're only going to start saving strokes if your Rangefinder provides an accurate and precise reading. Most units provide distances within ±1 yard of the target. For most golfers, this minor distance gap is rather insignificant and allows players the flexiblity to aim directly at the hole or layup instead. Be sure to keep this attribute in mind when comparing devices.

Slope

Whether or not a Rangefinder takes the angle and slope of your shot into account when determining your distance can dramatically change your club selection. Units equipped with a slope feature increase/decrease your distance to the green based on the elevation of your shot and, in some cases, even recommend the appropriate club to use (based on your individual hitting distances). If you participate in Tournement play, Rangefinders with a slope feature do not conform to USGA standards and are illegal devices.

Slope The distance to the green can vary greatly when factoring in your shot's elevation

Magnification

Some Rangefinders offer an enhanced, magnified, view which makes targetting the flag stick a snap. Point-and-shoot playability allows for increased targeting speeds, which keep your round moving and your swing in a constant groove. Don't waste precious time trying to acquire your distance to the green which can interfere with your rythm and throw off your entire game.

Weather Resistant

Weather Resistant

Don't let those lingering storm clouds make you bag your Laser Rangefinder. Most units are water resistant or completely waterproof, adding to their durability and functionality. So go ahead, gear up and enjoy your round - even if it's full of rain and a little soggy.

Power

Nothing's worse than running out of power halfway through your round (especially when you have a chance to birdie the hole). All of the Rangefinders listed above run off of disposable batteries which can easily be stored in your golf bag and replaced while out on the course.

ABOUT SWING ANALYZERS

Fine tune your golf game by determining the intricate flaws and abnormalities in your swing with a swing analyzer. Syncing up with your iOS or Android smartphone, these analyzers break your backswing/follow through down into a series of critical points, showing your actual club position versus the ideal position.

These units can be placed in a variety of locations and don’t inhibit your swing. Attached them onto the end of your grip, onto your club shaft, or your glove for a fully accurate reading without the bulk. Because of their lightweight construction, these swing analyzers do not obstruct your range of motion, allowing you to take a full, natural swing.

Start hitting longer, straighter shots and enjoying your rounds even more with a golf swing analyzer.

Smartphone OS

Smartphone OS

In today's world there are always options: vanilla or chocolate, coffee or tea, cake or pie. Your smartphone (and tablet devices) are no different. Two of the most popular mobile operating systems are Apple's iOS and Google's Android. When selecting a Swing Analyzer, make sure to base your selection off of the correct operating system you are currently running or will be running in the near future.

Battery Life

Don't run out of battery life mid-practice session while at the range. The battery life of each Swing Analzyer varies, but they include a convenient "Sleep" mode to conserve battery power when the device is not in use. This enables each unit to last for several practice sessions before needing to be recharged.

Device Placement

Device Placement

These lightweight Swing Analyzers are each specially designed to be placed on your golf grip, shaft, attached to glove or even on your practice mat. Their lightwight, non-intrusive construction helps keep them out of the way and off your mind so you can focus on taking a natural swing.

Club Compatibility

Depending on what type of skills you're looking to improve, will depend on the Swing Analyzer you select. Some are compatible with woods/irons while others are specially designed for putters. In most cases, these devices are not cross compatible and only work with the clubs specified by the manufacturer.
